I can answer two of the three questions - both the rooms and lounge are located on the 7th floor.

Food offerings are pretty uniform across the club levels. About the only difference is that the evening appetizers and late night desserts are supplied by restaurants with that resort. For the WL, it's a basic continental breakfast with cold cereal, pastry, fruit, yogurt; afternoon snacks are bowls of nuts, goldfish, pb&j uncrustables; evening appetizers usually include cheese & crackers, vegetables, usually a soup, stew or chowder and something like a pork & cabbage or beef with bisquits, ribs; late night desserts included brownies and cookies.

We just returned for WL Club Level. We were at Poly Club Level in January. The Poly's offerings were much better and much more enjoyable. We won't ever do WL club level again. It was small things such as soda's not being avaliable all day and only at certain times. For instance you couldn't get a coke for breakfast. At the Poly, soda's were avaliable all the time. Beer was avaliable upon request anytime at the Poly but not at the WL. The attitude of the staff was very different too. At the WL a few of the staff were actually rude. We never encountered anything but very nice staff at the Poly.
The evening dessert offerings were the exact same every night at WL. Basic stuff such as cookies, brownies and cobbler. The Poly had different offerings each night. We were very disappointed.

. . . what floor is the lounge on? what floors are the rooms on? . . .

1) Standard Club Floor rooms are locate on 7th.
2) Deluxe Club Floor rooms are located on other floors, and you walk up to 7th.

my family and some friends are all going to the world in october and we usually stay at the GF concierge but because the size of our party (we needed 5 rooms.) they didn't have any availability on the monorail line. so we chose the WL club level.

i'm hoping that it will be great because we enjoy GF concierge so much but i've heard positive and negative reviews for the WL. (and even some negs for GF).

what is the difference between standard club level rooms and delux club level rooms?

I finally got some info from the itenary planning after three and a half of phone calls to them. Thanks every body for the info. We found out their food offering and that would not do for my crew. So we changed and are doing the deluxe dinning in a garden room at the poly for only $200 more. We have stayed at the poly concierge and loved it and keeping my fingers crossed the there will be some garden concierge rooms open so we can upgrade.

what is the difference between standard club level rooms and delux club level rooms? At the WL, you might also see the deluxe club rooms referred to as junior suites. They are much larger rooms, which offer a separate bedroom (2 queen beds) and a living room with a queen sized sleep sofa. These rooms are not on the same level as the lounge, so you would need to take the elevator.

i'm a bit nervous about staying at the WL. my family is very used to the food they serve at the GF concierge and it sounds like the WL food is very boring and common. its too bad the GF was booked. :(

1) Please remember, WL and AKL are First Class resorts.
2) They are not actual Deluxe resorts.
3) That is why they are so much cheaper than other WDW Deluxe resorts
4) This is the way that Disney classifies them
. . . internally
. . . to corporate outings
. . . to foreign guests
. . . classroom instruction for CM's

Setting yourself up for disappointment is not a good way to start your vacation. Considering the size of your group, I'm guessing that you are working with a grand gathering coordinator. I would give them a call and let them know about your concerns with location. People do cancel all the time and maybe they can put you all together on the monorail line.
