Do you have to be eating dinner to watch Wishes from the Cali Grills viewing location???We have a late dinner at Chef Mickeys in October and have never seen the fireworks from there.

I believe you do have to be dining at CA Grill to be able to watch the fireworks from there. Perhaps someone else will be able to verify this? :mickey:

Most of the time, yes, you have to have an ADR to go up to California Grill. They sometimes allow people to go up to the bar for appetizers or sushi but rarely around fireworks time.

We had dinner at CG last September, and loved it. We were told that if we were finished dinner before the fireworks started, we could leave and come back just before they started and watch from the rooftop. All we had to do was show our dinner receipt or reservation form.

We liked it so much, we are going back there in - WOW - only 30 days!

21 days until we leave!

If you are dining at Chef Mickey's you can go out to the 4th floor observation deck & see them from there. You will not have access to the Cali Grill observation deck, however. Don't know if they still do, but they used to pipe the Wishes music onto the 4th floor deck.

Carol is correct. You will not be allowed to watch Wishes from California Grill if you aren't eating there, but there is a separate observation deck for those dining at Chef Mickey's.

We are hoping to schedule our dinner at Cali Grill to watch fireworks during Thanksgiving week. I hear that the fireworks are a lot earlier in the evening then. Based on the time of the fireworks show, when should we make our dinner reservations? Can ALL of the tables see the fireworks? Or should we plan to be DONE with dinner before the show starts? Or plan to get to the restaurant and watch the fireworks and then eat dinner? Any ideas for time management?

Any ideas for time management?

1) Plan the ADR about 2-hrs before the fireworks.
2) Most people closer than 2-hrs stay at their tables for fireworks.
