My offer for 50 points resale was just accepted for OKW thru international gmac (hope is ok to list name, if not I apologize). However I asked about the closing costs and was told $645 (includes full title closing and $195 admin fee). Is this normal. I was expecting around $400 being as it's so few points. Any advice greatly appreciated. Has anyone used this co? Experiences?

Also, do most resale co's charge a admin fee?

WOW All I am goin gto say is me and MBF just bought 160 pts at SSR, and I dont think it was 200.00 bucks, I want to say off the top of my head it was like 186.00 or something. So that price seems very very high. I would think it was a scam if it was me. And we have 160 pts and a full contract by doing it through disney.

I believe another reason resales have such a high closing cost is because they need to do a full background title search and they charge for that. Where, when you buy direct through Disney they know who had and don't need to.

I purchased my DVC through resale (Intercot sponsor The Timeshare Store) and all of my closing fees totaled $475. I think the $195 admin fee is outrageous. Timeshare Store did not charge that kind of fee.

I spoke w/ my DBF last night about this post and we were thinking that the higher costs could also be cause they have to have lawyers involved when it comes to certain paperwork and stuff. And disney has their owns lawyers. SO I would be assuming that it being an outside company an all the lawyers fees could definetly be more money too.
