Stan's poll made me realize we have not had an ice cream thread in quite some time, and since summer is right around the corner I cannot think of a more perfect time to discuss
What is your favorite ice cream flavor??!!:D

An old fav is Ben and Jerry's Half Baked & Chunky Monkey....but anything chocolate or mint chocolate chip will do just fine!

Coffee! And I discovered last night that Coldstone's coffee is not terribly coffee-ish. Dish me up some B&J's (the one with the Heath bars) or Haagen Daz (even the yogurt or the light one), please. :eat:

See, this is another one that's hard to answer because it totally depends on my mood. Chocolate is my most favorite, but if I really want to indulge, it's Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie (not the yogurt one!!). Chocolate Chip mint is another favorite.

And so many more!! :mickey:

My all time favorite is Haggan Daz Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Brings back memories of my honeymoon at Disney. we stayed at the Holiday Inn which is now the Nick hotel I think and one day in the pouring rain we walked to the 7-11 and bought a pint, came back to the hotel and eat it sitting on the bed listening to the rain adn talking about our future. for the past 16 years it's been our anniversary gift to each other. still talking about our future :) :)

It's Haagen Daz Rum Raisin--no contest! I got hooked on it when I lived with some roommates in a house right next to a Haagen Daz shop in south Minneapolis. We were very good neighbors to that shop. :tasty: :D

Baskin and Robbins Pralines and Cream:thumbsup::thumbsup:
This is one of my f avorites, too! But too bad for me, the Baskin-Robbins shop near us closed and the Hershey Ice Cream shop opened insead.

One of my other favorites is homemade ice cream with Southern Butter Pecan coffee creamer used instead of all milk or cream. It is sooooo good, and adds some kick to the plain vanilla.

My DH has been eating Chunky Monkey for years, and I thought I didn't like it...until he went out of town for a week and left a new carton in the freezer. I ate the whole thing. I LOVE it!

Vanilla. Call me boring, but I like vanilla. Sure, I'll eat other flavors, but vanilla is the one I always come back too.

I love Blue Bell Chocolate Chip, but they don't sell it here in NC, that I know of. I sure do miss that ice cream.

I do like Breyer's Natural Vanilla, with chocolate syrup, and I like Chocolate Almond, from Baskin Robbins!! :D

We have a wonderful mom and pop ice cream shop in the burbs of Chicago called Capanari's. They make the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted. For commercial brands I like Haagen Daz - current favourite flavour is Caramelized Pear and Toasted Pecan.

However at a friends house once he served up some Lemon ice cream and it was absolutely delicious.:)

has anyone seen the foodnetwork special "scoop" that aired a couple years ago? the winning flavor sticky toffee pudding is amazing. it's put out by haagen dazs. it's AWESOME! sunday i tried one of the runner up flavors...toasted coconut sesame brittle and it's also fantastic. haagen dazs is such a sin :thedolls: i only allow myself a few spoonfuls at a time.....but i love it just the same!

i love ice cream - i eat it nearly every single day. it's my one treat that i can't live without! :cloud9:

Northampton MA's Herrell's Malted Vanilla with smooshed in Chocolate Malt Balls.

But close: Haagen Dazs Vanilla, Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia, Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, and Ben & Jerry's White Russian topped them all but it was discontinued.

My wife got an ice cream maker about 5 years back and I'm quite surprised at how much we use it. From her machine, I have a few faves:

1) Strawberry
2) Bailey's Irish Cream

But by far, my favorite is plain old CHOCOLATE from Krogers (Private Selection is the brand) with a heaping spoonful of JIF peanut butter slathered on top.

Yum. :tasty:

I firmly believe Haagen-Dazs makes the best ice cream in the world, even better than most homemade places, especially coffee and chocolate chocolate chip.

I love mint chocolate chip - I would like it even more if I could find some that was only the mint with NO chips!

Ben & Jerry's - Creme Brulee and Half Baked

During the Holidays, they make the peppermint kind which I also enjoy.

I can't pick just one!!

my favorites are from an ice cream stand my dad used to inspect when he was a health inspector. Actually I have 2 favorites there
Kaluha crunch
malted moo crunch

they are only open during the warm weather so I have to wait until spring to get them. We just took my now 5 year old and my 9 month old there to play mini golf and get some really great ice cream. Oh the name is Kimballs

Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip

And the Cookies and Cream Ice Cream sandwiches at WDW!

ooh ooh ooh

the 2 best ways to have the cake batter ice cream is the Candyland (w/Snickers, M&Ms, Kit Kat) and the Birthday Cake Remix (w/sprinkles, a brownie and fudge).

My classic faves is Blue Bell cookies and cream, but I have just recently discovered the Mediterranian Sea Salt gelatto at the Pacuigo place near me and I love it!! :number1: It is a perfect mix of caramel flavor and savory salt, may sound weird but its great!
