Well we have just booked another trip to WDW 2 - 14 May 08 to celebrate our 20th anniversay. We were there 5 - 21 Dec 07 and I did not once see the Dream Team. I hear about how many people have multiple sightings and I have yet to see them even once. I can only hope.

I wouldn't hold my breath... I've been a few times during the YOAMD celebrate and have yet to see a dream team. Not WIN a dream, SEE a dream team member.

If it happens, it's a gift, but don't get your hopes up. A lot of people seem to go into a Disney vacation with high expectations only to be disappointed. Sadly, aim low and sometimes they will exceed your expectations...

How are the dream team members dressed? I have never seen them either and would like to know what to look for.

I had seen them escorting a family who had just won the nights stay in the castle suite. The all had light blue t-shirts on, don't remember what was printed on them. I can tell you that I don't think they are that easy to spot. One of the members of the family told my wife they were hanging aroung Space Mountain and were chosen as they were getting off the attraction. I imagine they mostly place themselves in places that prevent them from being swarmed.

Good Luck to you. We will be there May 1-11, and I never even think about looking for them. I assume they will find me if I meet their criteria.

The answer is you might see them, you might not. And I'm sure you already know that even if you do see them, there is nothing you can do to get yourself picked. Its either going to happen or it isn't.

I think I have 17 or so gate days since YoMD started and I don't think I've even seen them.

Dream Squad wears light blue polyster button-up polo-type shirts with the Walt Disney World resort on the right breast. They also wear khaki pants and have a black bag that says YOAMD. When they are giving out large prizes (i.e. typically not hats or fastpasses), they will include a white vest with a large YOAMD logo on the back as well as right breast.

They typically seem to send out larger prizes earlier in the day, but they are in the parks all day until closing. It's a simple matter of being in the right place at the right time.

Maybe because I am there all the time, and staying in one place, I see them all the time. It's like having two people in a very large maze and trying to have them find each other without talking - the chances are small that you'd be able to find each other because you'd both be moving (which is the same thing for a lost child...).

Don't base your trip on them. We saw them a couple of times in November, they would come up to us and tell us how cute Hayden looked in his Mickey outfit. DW and I would get so excited then they would tell us to have a great day and leave. We even traded pins with them jsut in case that was the trigger and nothing.

We jsut looked at each other and had to laugh. :D

Don't count on meeting them, but on the other hand it IS very possible you will see them.
We went on two trips to WDW last year and while we never saw them during our 2 week summer trip we had 2 magical moments, were chosen by a dream team member to personally walk us to the front of the line of two rides and got one of the share one, keep one pins. We stayed for only 8 days!!!
Everything is possible - this IS Walt Disney World.

It is all about being at the right place at the right time. On our last trip we saw them frequently and were given prizes a few times. Of course, it was late January and the parks were not crowded at all - so they probably stood out a bit more. Like others have said, I wouldn't count on seeing them, but you absolutely might get lucky!

Yes I realize that getting picked is another lottery in itself. At this point I would even be happy to just see that they do really exist. I was just kind of amazed how we could be in WDW for 16 days in Dec and not even once see them. I won't be holding my breath as I will be way too busy having fun!

We just got back and we were lucky to have an experience with the Dream Team (we didn't know they were the Dream Team until they had worked their magic). My 6 yo DS was walking over to trade pins with some management types and got run over by an adult rushing to a ride. She apologized and my son was fine, but the Dream Team saw this and told him to pick any pins he wanted off all of their lanyards (there were 7 or 8 of them at this one location) and he didn't have to trade any of his pins. We stood talking and I mentioned a pin my DD had seen in the store and that we were hoping to get to trade for it during the day and if not, we would go back and buy it. One of the ladies asked if she could take my DD to the store and see which pin she was talking about. About 5 minutes later, they came back with a complete pin set including the pin my DD wanted. Only then did any of them mention that they were the Dream Team. My DD said the lady asked her what she wanted from the store - That she could have whatever she wanted. She only took the one pin set that she had seen earlier. We were very surprised and very grateful. Both my DS and DD were shocked that they were so nice and gave them so much over such a small incident.

That to me is a VERY SPECIAL DREAM!
