Can someone help me understand the various park hours posted on WDW's calendar? During the Saturdays in October, there are no EMH, but the park closes at different times each Saturday. Sometimes 9 pm, sometimes 10 pm, sometimes 11pm. If this is not EMH and if there is nothing special going on like MNSSHP, why are the hours so different for each Saturday?

Thanks! :mickey:

I would guess that the times are based on historical attendance and future attendance predictions. There is also a holiday weekend in October, Colombus Day that draws a larger crowd. It is the second Monday of October.

Park hours are based on forecast attendance. The more people expected at WDW on a given day, the later the parks stay open. Disney has a team of forecasters who examine such variables as historical attendance, time of year, holidays, spring break, school district schedules, resort occupancy and more. Nearby events such as the Daytona 500 and Bike Week are rolled into the mix. Also considered are conventions and conferences scheduled for Orlando area facilities. The resulting forecast attendance at the Disney parks is amazingly accurate.
