What's the best value for a family of five to visit DLR during the summer months??

Kids range from 16 to 10, with two adults.....we normally stay at POR at DW.

We're looking for a value to moderate resort type of place...

....thanks and hopefully we can visit DLR soon...:mickey:

DLR doesn't have the same sort of plans that WDW has ... The Grand Californian is the most expensive hotel, comparable to a the Grand Floridian Resort at WDW. The Disneyland Hotel is the original Disney Resort, it's fully Disney themed, huge rooms and a great pool. It's less expensive than the GCH, but not by much. The Paradise Pier Hotel would be the equivalent of a Moderate resort, the rooms are a nice size and also Disney themed. There are many threads about the pros and cons of all three hotels, and also the pros and cons of staying off property at a Good Neighbor hotel, you can definitely get some good info by checking out the threads going on presently, or by using the search function.

Summers are expensive, very busy (http://intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=115765) and most weekends sell out, so planning ahead will be key. If you are interested in some assistance with finding the best deals, can I suggest you contact Magical Journeys (http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/), the official INTERCOT Travel Agency? They can offer great advise about packages, etc.
