Soooo I posted something last week stating that if I got this amazing new job I applied for, I was booking a trip to Disney as a kinda last hoorah before I am working M-F 6 hours a day as a split shift (Working for PLACE, a before and after school program sponsored by the school board--my schooling and work as a sub qualifies me for a senior position--so I get BENEFITS!!! I am somebody!!!). So I called and my choices were Sports or Music for values. I picked Music--I was the band geek in HS and still am one at heart.
So we are booked, Sunday 13-Thursday 17. Before we leave Sunday I am committed to do a charity fashion show... There is this wonderful organization in town called Cornerstone Center for Women that does a lot of work with women with babies, pregnancies, parenting, giving diapers, formula, clothes, etc. to moms... I am very close to one of the volunteers (I am good friends with her granda-daughter) and she got me invovled in the organization right after I had Emmy. I had been out of school for a year, went back on Jan 10, had Emmy the 18th and then was back in classes on the 21st. I've been nonstop ever since. CS gave me such awesome support and guidance that I really value. So since I know and keep in touch with the manager and the one lady I knew previous, they ask me to speak at a lot of charity benefits for them. So Sunday is a fashion show... But, I get a makeover!!! Like a before and after thing. They are doing some hilights, lolights, my make up, and a hair cut after I talk. Then I go back over and walk in the show... which scares me to death, but I am committed now!
So after the show we are headed straight to Disney. We won't get there until probably 5, but it is MK EMH, so it works perfect for us!
Oh, and Miss Emma has NO idea that we are going!!! :secret: I am so excited! She always asks me to stay in a hotel when we go to Disney. So this time, I can say "ok!" I have a BBB appt for her on Monday at DTD (I can compare DTD with MK now) and then we are just going to be lazy and leisurely before I do all my employment papers on Friday and begin my new job on Monday!
