Crowds The Second Week Of August

How do you think the crowds will be the second week of August BEFORE free dining............

There'll still be plenty of people there. We have come in about the 15th a few times and the crowd goes steadily down by the time you get to the 20th or so. The good news is, in the earlier part of August, they'll still have summer hours, so there will be plenty of time. The crowds won't be as bad as July, but still pretty crowded. Thats why they don't start free dining until near the end of the month.

:mickey: We went to WDW last year from August 7 - 16. The crowds were certainly managable except for the middle of the day -- which is when we all take that much needed pool/nap break. Like with any time vacationing at WDW, if you arrive early, stay mid afternoon and then return in the evening, you will be just fine. I will mention tho how unbelieveably empty EPCOT was no matter what time of the day it was -- except of course for SORIN'.

We went down for the Pirate Party last year in August. It was very humid from the afternoon rains, but we had a great time and only had a long wait on the most popular rides that we didn't get a FASTPASS to ride. I think the second week isn't a bad time to go since some of the schools go back that week, especially if you utilize the nighttime hours when the humidity and heat are lower. Take your umbrellas and ponchos and prepare to run between the afternoon raindrops! Good luck! :mickey:
