Planning our next trip for November 08 (2 adults and 1 teenager). This trip for the first time we want to take time for the best live acts. Via the Internet I've heard some groups like Dapper Dans, Mo'Rockin, Off Kilter etc..., but never in person. Which acts do you consider best and well worth including in our plans? What makes your favorite acts special?
Thanks,

Jamminators are fun to watch. It is like STOMP only they beat garbage cans.

British Invasion are the best. We always make time to watch them.
The Notorious Banjo Brothers & Bob are a band in Frontierland with a couple of guitars and a tuba and they are great. Funny and very entertaining.

The British Invasion are great but so are many of the performers in Epcot - its great to just wander around World Showcase and take in the live performances as you go!
Off-Kilter are always worth a watch and my family (me and my parents) always try to stop, watch and relax for a few minutes!

Off-Kilter is my favorite! They'll have you dancing in the streets. Really friendly, too.
(Yes, I have been "on stage" with them..:cloud9:)
:pipes:
I honestly think they're all worth watching. I try to catch as many as I can each time we go. All the extra entertainment is part of the fun of WDW, but I have to admit I favor the drums at Epcot's Japan.

We really like Off Kilter. We bought one of their CDs and listen to it often.

Don't miss the Voices of Liberty at the American Pavillion in Epcot. They are, hands down, the best small chorus I have ever heard. The Dapper Dans at MK are really good too, if you like barbershop. Oh, and Finding Nemo the Musical at AK is (arguably) the best stage show in all of WDW. :mickey:
Go to Mexico for lunch or dinner and listen to Mariachi Cobre. We can't have Mexican food at home without putting on one of their CDs!

Great input everyone.
I've started a list of "gotta see" acts by combining your comments.
Thanks!

You HAVE HAVE HAVE to see the World Showcase Players! They are a comedy troupe that does a King Arthur skit that involves audience members. Whether your chosen or not you still participate and I gaurantee smiles and laughs.
Also the acrobats in China.. absolutely amazing! Be sure to arrive a little early so as to have a closer, unobstructed view.
Im not sure whether Kristos are still there .. they are like this alien acrobat act .. really cool.
Everyone else is right on with their suggestions too! I think the live acts at Epcot are the most over looked "attractions"

Once on a solo trip I saw Off-Kilter 4 times. Each show was fun!:mickey:

All 3 of my little ones have had their pics taken with Off Kilter on different trips. The guys are so funny and nice to boot. It's pretty much all the kid's let me listen to in the truck. Stop by and enjoy !

Being a sax player himself, my DH likes to watch the Toon Town Tuners at MK. I pretty much like them all, I just appreciate what they are doing!

My favorite is "Four For a Dollar" at DHS. They sing right before Beauty and the Beast. :mickey: They are awesome!!

Wow! So many good suggestions. I don't think there is a bad act in the parks. I would try to see as many as you can.
We also like the acrobats in China, although for some reason my oldest DS has a fear of Asian people. Don't ask me. I can't explain it. He doesn't even like to go into the China or Japan pavilions. Hopefully he has grown out of it by the next trip.
Anyway... we also like Off Kilter and Jammitors in Epcot, and 4 for a dollar in DHS. I'm sure there are more if I could get my brain to work today.
BTW, does Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial at MK count. We absolutely loved that show. Well, at least the DDs and I did and my DS was sworn in as an honorary pirate.
Try 'em all if you can. :mickey:

I agree. There are so many great performers in the parks!
I like in MK: Dapper Dans! They sang to me once and thought that was so cool!
In EPCOT: Jammitors!!! I also like the British Invasion, but to me all the performers in all the countries are great!!
In DHS: I like Mulch Sweat and Sheers!!

World Showcase Players is the first thing that came to my mind as well. You can find them in England in the World Showcase at Epcot. They are absolutely hilarious. When we went in December, they were performing "A Christmas Carol." My DH was videotaping the act, and one of the actors walked right up to our video camera while in the middle of his show. He walked up really close so that his face was in the whole screen of our camera, and in his British accent said, "HELLLOOOO!" :mickey: Any other time of the year that I have seen them they were performing "King Arthur and the Holy Grail." You have got to catch them. You will get a good laugh.

All of the shows are great. In Epcot we love the World Showcase players and they perform in UK and Italy. We love Sergio the juggler in Italy, Mo Rockin in Morroco, Off Kliter in Canada and the Jammitors in Future World. In DHS don't miss Four for a Dollar, they usually perform 15 minutes before the Beauty and the Beast show. In the AK are the Karuka Acrobats, the used to perform near the Tusker House, not sure now that they have changed it. If you have kids try Captain Jacks Pirate Tutorial in MK and the Jedi Trainig Academy in DHS.
