Okay, so first of all, this is my 150th post!

So, I thought I might do a poll on something. That's when I thought of a great new topic: what's everyone's favorite park icon?

I love the ball, but it's not quite the same as Cindy's Castle! :mickey:

The Tree, no matter how many times you walk around or through it something new pops into view.:dory:

Without questions, the castle! It's what I picture when I think of WDW, not just MK. :cloud9:

I voted for the Castle. That first walk up Main Street on each trip is such an iconic moment that it is burned forever in my mind's eye. However, my first view of Spaceship Earth, on a pre-opening monorail ride with DS#2 and FIL is also a permanent image in that same minds eye.

Has to be the CASTLE. It's not only the MK icon, it's Disney's main logo and has been for years. With the fireworks :fworks: going off overhead, it's a worldwide recognized symbol of the Disney Magic that gets me every time. :magic:

It brings back sweet memories from the Wonderful World of Disney on TV when I was a kid.in the 60's. Now every time I see wishes and hear "When you wish upon a star", the magic feeling brings tears to my eyes. :crying: Guess I'm just a sentimental (middle-aged) fool.

Definitely the castle! When I walk up Main Street and get that first glimpse, the tears are threatening and I get goose bumps. No other place does that to me.
:congrats: on your 150th!!

Spaceship Earth is very iconic and majestic, and I take a bazillion pictures of it from every angle each time I'm there, HOWEVER nothing beats rounding that corner when you entire MK for the first time each vacation and seeing the castle at the end of Main Street. Pure magic!

For me, this could have been a 3-way tie. I love the Castle, Tree of Life and Spaceship Earth; each is so iconic for the park it represents. I voted for the Tree of Life just for the pure artistic sculpture of it.

Having said that, I hate, hate, HATE that stupid hat. It just ruins the whole classic art deco Hollywood feel that you got when you could see the Chinese theater at the end of the street.

The castle and the Golf ball are actually more icons of WDW as much as the individual parks-

In all 4 cases- we do think immediately of each park with any selected. In 3 cases you can actually enter the "icon" As for DHS the Sorcerer's hat doesnt have mich impact because all it is is an umbrella for a store....

And actually Everest might be the new AK icon.

I think of an icon as a symbol that represents something -
So you can say Space Mountain is an icon too

I choose

#1 Castle, Of course. Can't imagine WDW without the Castle.

#2 Tree Of Life (love the animal carvings)

#3 Spaceship Earth (great ride)

#4 Sorcerer's Hat (nothing special)

Cinderella Castle for me!

I don't care for the hat. I like it, but not in front of the Chinese Theater. It could at least be moved, in my opinion!

I know everybody loves the castle, but for some reason I like SSE.

Castle is always going to be the #1. It's the 1st & the best one. It just means WDW & the Magic Kingdom.

I'm surprised the sorcerers hat doesn't have any votes:ack:.

This was a tough call since Cinderella's Castle is awesome but I went with Spaceship Earth. EPCOT was the first park I was ever at and I'll never forget the first time I was the giant ball;). The other thing about SE is that it seems to be the most visible when on WDW grounds.

My favorite park icon is Spaceship Earth now that it is back in its original state.

My favorite experience on each trip is the first view of the castle.

Mine is Spaceship earth. I love it so much that I got a tatoo with that on it. I have loved it since 1982 and I took my first picture. That picture in turn was made into an example to show what kind of camera took those kind of pictures for a local mom and pop camera shop where I grew up. I love it and can just and look at it in awe.

The Castle by far. When I think of WDW I think Cinderella's Castle.

Cinderella Castle is my number 1, with Spaceship Earth a close second.

I love the Sorcerer's Hat because it is sooo colorful. I love color, especially when they are so vibrant. I do love the castle, especially when the lights change color on it at night but it always seems to be so crowded.

The castle just IS WDW to me. I love them all, but the first sight of the castle is the one that makes me cry.

I love Spaceship Earth but there's something about seeing the castle that lets you know your in Disney World and I always get emotional the first time I see it every trip!

The castle is THE icon for WDW, but I voted for SE. SE and Epcot are my favorite.
