What does Disney hate the most? Bad press!

Why are we sitting around saying goodbye? Lets dish it to them where it hurts. Flooding the interent with bad press about Disney closing the doors will get their attention. Filling up their own customer support phone system, their e-mail and snail mails will help too. We dont need to just sit back while they decide what is best for us.

Maybe Disney overlooked one thing about us.. we are family. We all have that Disney spirit. From all the complaints I have seen on this board and others, We definately know how to make our voices heard loud and clear!
Why should we take this? Are we not all a family? Do you really want VMK to close? Or lets show Disney just how upset we really are?

Make videos! Write to them! Call their customer support! Do whatever will make the biggest loudest noise Disney has ever heard.

I will NOT take this lying down! I will not give up on all of you! You are all my family and I refuse to let you go!

Remember, Dont complain to VMK's contact us. That will fall on deaf ears. I highly doubt VMK staff want the doors to close anymore then we do. Complain to Disneys headquarters.

I will work on getting you all adresses to write too and phone numbers to call tonight. You will have them by morning if you haven't already found them

Keep in mind, Nothing is worse for Disney's PR dept. then the public knowing how Disney Corp made kids and adults cry.

I have searched 6 of VMK's fan site boards and have listed all the contact info into one group for us all to share. I did not obtain this information myself. Thanks to all of you who have posted the information.

I agree!

For those of you in Orlando...maybe you could contact the local paper.

This is big public relations/advertising blunder.

By playing VMK multiple times a week (mostly every day), the Disney name and parks were on our minds...now oh well...Busch Gardens is closer to home ;-) (Heresy!)

I suggested a "Save VMK" petition on another site. How would we go about doing that? And would it make a difference? I'm in.

In my letter to them i made the point that where a kids to go once they outgrow toontown and club penguin? VMK would be a natural choice.

I'm sorry but I can't put my vote in to safe VMK. Let me try to explan the best my learning disablety can do.

I do agree to safe VMK is to pay for it but if we start to pay then that means I can't still play VMK. I can't aford $40.00 a month or higher cause I don't make that much at work and with my phone and car bills I have with sometimes lest then $100 a week I may I can't do it. So if VMK start charging then I still will not get to see any of you any more. I came on VMK cause it was free. So for me to stay on VMK if they change there mines and not close VMK on May 21. They have to remine free.

So I guess I will miss u all if this has happen. I am really down with this. I know in the pass I have stop cause it got board but with the new stuff that has come up in the last 2 months I was getting back into VMK. I love you all from JP,CAT,DOLL,ICE,DINO,DOC,GREEN CAT,PATTI,PINK,PIRATE,FAN,HOCKEY,SHELLEYB,Tear,LAD Y,DRAGON and others. You are my family.

I understand what you mean Genie paying for the game could be difficult for some. Although I think when you see people talking about $40-$60 they are not talking about per month that would be for the entire year. The other Disney games only charge about $10 per month. Like Pirates and Toontown are $10 and I believe Club Penguin is $5 or $6 per month. That is pretty reasonable for me anyways. Although for people that loved vmk for being able to have it for free I can see the issue. Or people that have many people in their home that play.

Let's put it this way. IF they ever do decide to keep the game open and start charging for it, we would probably expect more from them then what they can do. I know if I had to pay for it, I would expect at the very least new servers to cope with 6K+ on at any time and all In-Park Items, Quests, and the Tour re-instated right away. They then need to appoint more staff because they need to have people that are roaming around the game taking in people's needs and wants. They need to update their communication services by getting more staff there and getting rid of the automated responses that make absolutely no sense at all. There's about 10 other things but my brain is fried from school and being up all night last night. The only reason why I come on VMK anymore to begin with is for my friends that I have acquired from here, the game, and POTCO. Drop everything else, I think what sticks the dagger into everyone's heart is that for alot of people it was their first real online RPG game that they actually participated in for this long.

Reading what Fan said, if they do that it would take a lot of work. Not sure if they can make up for it, with Toontown and POTCO and all the other stuff they have to deal with. VMK is the only free online game I've heard of so far, the rest have exclusive privileges you have to pay for. That being said, most people who are doing the free version, if there's any, won't enjoy it as much because the good stuff is saved for other people (obviously they should, but still). I'm pretty sure my parents won't pay for a game. Especially if they find out that it closed before, it can close again and you'd waste your money.

If your writing to Disney Execs, like Iger, use the snail mail address. Email is not nearly as effective as a written letter.

If you are still emailing the address for Iger should be..

[email protected]

I'm trying to confirm some of the other addresses.
