How do P&P and MNSSHP compare?

We went to our first MNSSHP last October and now we will be in WDW just in time for the last P&P of the season. We are considering getting tickets but I really on the fence about it. I don't want to spend the extra money on P&P if it is just about the same as MNSSHP. Are they close to the same thing? Any opinions would be great.

I actually don't think that they are comparable at all as MNSSHP has so much more to offer. As with anything it's always better to see for yourself and make your own opinion but MNSSHP is on another level, probably the best 'extra ticket' event that Disney offers.

They can't really can't compare to each other, as they each have a different theme. P&P is a lot of fun (though it doesn't have as much as mnsshp). The fireworks for P&P are amazing, though. The best of any party. The parade is good (though I like mnsshp one better). And there are more rare characters out for P&P.
