My mother has lung cancer and she's having either her whole lung or part of it removed this Thursday. She could really use alot of prayers and extra strong pixie dust to be totally healed after the surgery. They feel strongly that it has not spread. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE 4/3
Her surgery is over. They were able to leave a small part of the right lower lung. There was no cancer in the lymph nodes. They do think she will need some chemo because the tumor was so large and just to be on the safe side. They don't see anything anywhere else, thank God. She was awake and off the ventilator when we first saw her this afternoon. Before we left she was on just a small amount of oxygen and sucking on ice chips. She still had all the various IVs and one chest tube but I'm sure they will be removed tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust. Please keep it coming for a speedy recovery and no complications. Thank you all very much, I really believe the power of the prayers and pixie dust is awesome.

Prayers and pixie dust on the way.

I'll also add that my MIl had similiar surgery for her lung cancer two years ago and didn't require chemo after (just a few radation treatments) and recovered quite well. It takes some time but the healing does happen.

Please keep us updated and all the best to you as well as you go through this stressful time.
