Yea ! I got a new car

After having my Taurus for almost 10 years, and facing a $2060 repair, we decided I needed something safer and more economical. I drive my mother to and from dialysis three times a week, and take a class 40 mi. away once a week.

We kind of decided on a Toyota Prius Hybrid, which gets around 60 m.p.gal. I told the dealer if they got exactly what I wanted to give us a call. He did, and I picked it up yesterday. I love it. They're flying out of dealerships as fast as they come in, so I got the top color, dark grey, and it has everything. I need a tutor to learn all the stuff.

Just am so happy, and it smells as good as popcorn on Main St.:joy:

congrats on the new car! I love the color too. When you drive it to WDW I'm only a mile off I-10 you can stop by but you have to bring the dunkin doughnuts...

I would love to have something that gets more than 20 MPG at this point. It is hard to get anything smaller than a SUV for us with a kid in Dance and Softball. Hauling the stuff and carpooling takes an eight seater sometimes.

Awesome Marilyn! It sounds like the perfect car for you! My MIL drives one and so does her sister and niece. My husband took it into Boston yesterday for a doctor's appt. It would have cost him over 40.00 for gas in his truck and this cost him a couple of bucks! We're planning on a hybrid SUV when my 10 year old van doesn't want to go anymore.

I would settle for 15MPG. My suv gets about 13.5.

A friend of mine got a white Prius about a year ago and she loves it. And, I love it as well when I get to drive it.

If I had more money for a down payment I would be buying one today.
