I have been reading a lot about the World Showcase in Epcot and everyone's favorite things to do in each country. I have found an alarming shortage of favorites in Italy. What's yours?

I don't have one. I find Italy a drag, except for the fact I got a Jiminy Cricket stuffy in December.

If I am missing something....please....someone tell me what it is.

Personally, I love the food! Wasn't there a band in the courtyard not so long ago?

Wine tasting, Italian margaritas and shopping. I think the architecture is beautiful and wish that they expand the pavilion. There is a lot of room in the back to do something.

We loved the human statues but they got rid of them.

I liked the statue people too. I didn't realize they were gone, I thought we just missed them our last couple trips.

My kids love Sergio, the juggler guy.

We used to love the statue people, really miss them.

They used to have a great band that played there. We didn't see them last time, don't know if they are still around.

I really wish they would bring back the statues!! The crowds loved them and it had great crowd participation. I have one wonderful memory of my then-3-year-old daughter with the statue. When she walked up to it, the statue crouched down and put her arms around my daughter. She just stood there and looked around so cutely for about a minute or two and then stooped to get out of the hug.:) It was really cute!
I don't understand why they took it away

For such a rich culture I find the Italy pavilion lacking. It is not a must do for us. I agree that the living statues were engrossing. :mickey:

While I do love the :wine:, I'm part Italian and even I'm bored by that pavilion! I would love to see a dark ride where you sit in gondolas.

My favorite thing about Italy is getting a chilled glass of Rosa Regale wine and a piece of chocolate to go with it. Try some of the wine tastings...or brouse the shop and check out some of the different Italian Chocolates. Get a cannoli with you wine and sit in the courtyard and imagine yourself in Italy. Disney is all about your imagination and what you make of it. I do however wish that they could add more countries or create a Worldshowcase #2 in another location. There are so many other countries they could develop.

We have watched some very good street shows in the pavilion, and I love the Italian cookware in one of the shops.

I was in EPCOT for the first time in October, and I was expecting much more from the Italy Pavillion, maybe because I am Italian American. Even if there was a film, that would be something engaging. There is so much to Italian culture and regions of Italy that is missing. Venice is an amazing place, but it's just one small snapshot of what Italy really is.

My kids love Sergio, the juggler guy.

Sergio is fabulous! Great entertainer.

But still, this pavillion needs an attraction desperately. You would think this would be an easy thing for them to do.

I understand why it is hard to come up with favorites for Italy. I find the pavilion a disappointment compared to most of the others. I think being Italian-American has something to do with it. I probably had high expectations.

My favorite thing about the pavilion is the architecture, but I think it could be far better. A few canals and a gondola ride are really in order.

The shopping is nothing exciting, I haven't tired the restaurant (I would though) and I haven't even stopped for wine or cannoli.

The entertainment hasn't impressed me, but all I've seen is some band playing synthesized classical tunes. Not my cup of tea. Keep the classical, well... classical.

Sorry to sound negative about Italy, but it's all relative to the other outstanding pavilions.

I do not spend alot of time there since there is not alot to do there. What I do miss is the Statues.
