Hi Everyone!
I am in charge of decorations for the Casino Night fundraiser that my daughter's school does every year.

I would love to get some suggestions from everyone on ideas for table centerpieces on each table. There are about 20 tables and they have alternating red, black and white cloth tablecloths. I would like it to be fun but not too tacky. For the past 2 years we have used top hats that were turned over and had cards and "money" spilling out of them. I like them but would like a fresh idea. I also don't want to blow the budget because it seems like inevitably alot of people take the centerpiece stuff home with them as a souvenir :confused:

It's a "Riverboat Casino" theme so I can't go too neon and Vegas.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions that you all could offer! Thanks in advance!!

How about jars filled with poker chips and dice?

Have you tried your local party store? I know all the ones in our area have 'casino/gambling' party theme sections. Lots of stuff to choose from.

Maybe you could find some inexpensive wire photo holders and put cards with different poker hands in them (full house, straight, etc.).

What about a votive candle surrounded by poker chips
Or a hurricane lantern with playing cards glued to them
floating candles with chips on the bottom instead of marbles.

You could do houses of cards if you were really ambitious (hot glued into place, of course)

Since you are doing a riverboat theme I would just go Mardi Gras colors ... it's all that Southern Feeling ... boas, masks, feathers ...

Thank you so much to everyone for the great ideas!
I am going to print these off and show them to my friend that is helping and see which one seems the easiest to re-produce on a large scale.

Thanks again!:tiphat::write:
