I need to try to make a dinner ADR for a resort restaurant. What's your favorite?

Kind of depends on the meal. We love Whispering Canyon for breakfast. Ohanas for dinner is good also. I bet you get a lot of diverse feedback. Have fun!!:mickey:

Wow...so many resorts & restaurants, so little time! I guess a lot depends on your budget. I highly recommend Artist Point (WL) or Cali Gril (CR) if you want to splurge but not totally break the bank. If the Concourse Steak House (CR) is still open, that would be an excellent option. Or, if you want something more casual, try Whispering Canyon in WL. Good luck deciding!!

I like Boma. It is a buffet featuring African food. A lot of variety and nice atmosphere.

I love so many of the resort restaurants, but I think my favorite is at the Polynesian Resort. I just love the tropical atmosphere at the Poly.:lei::papple: I like both Kona Cafe and Ohanas. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I agree. I've also tried Boma which I liked but my husband wasn't a fan. This trip we are trying Maya Grill at CS which hasn't really been talked about much on these boards.

For LP: Maya Grill is great!

As far as myself, I really like Jiko's the best. It makes the vegetarians and the carnivores in my party happy!

For a general place I like Kona Cafe the best. For a fancy meal - Artist Point.

O'hana's!

I love this restaurant. I can't go to WDW and not eat there. The food is incredible, the entertainment is great (kids seem to have a lot of fun dancing) and if you're reservation is late enough you can watch Wishes.

It depends if you're looking for something fancy or casual. I've never tried any of the signature restaurants, but my favorite resort eateries are 'Ohana and Kona Cafe in the Polynesian and Boma - Flavors of Africa in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Our absolute favorite is Narcoossee's. Food and service are phenomenal. Viewing wishes from the deck, or your table, is magical.

Okay, our top pick is V&A, but Narcoossee's is our favorite "normal" resort restaurant. ;)

Well, I didn't count votes but it seems like 'Ohana is a top choice! I was not able to get an ADR at this time but I am going to keep trying. I did make one at Boma on our AK day which we have already done but I think my MIL might like it (she might be going with us).

I originally started trying to make ADRs very late (3 months out) when I finally figured out we WERE going to make it. I wasn't able to get much but then I ended up canceling them as I changed my itinerary. I was all set to go without any but then my DH told me my MIL might be coming along. She's not a big Disney fan so I thought we should try to eat at some of the table service restaurants; that is something she would appreciate. Now I can't really get anything!

It's just one of those trips that has been fluctuating since we originally booked our timeshare!

Oh, I did get Trail's End for dinner. How is that? What else should we do while we are out at Fort WIlderness? My MIL should like that area; she's more one to tour the Everglades than Disney!

I've been to Trail's End buffet once. We enjoyed it. It's good value for the money when you are not on the DDP. Great "comfort food!" As for other things to do, FW is a nice area to walk around. You could maybe do dinner and a movie. They do nightly sing a longs and then a movie at FW. Here is the Intercot description:

Chip ‘N Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long is offered nightly at 8PM. The event takes place behind the Meadow Trading Post, Chip 'n' Dale, followed by a cartoon and a full-length Disney movie. Free of charge to resort guests. Movie starts at 8:40PM. Monthly movie schedules are posted in our Disney Camping Forum.

My favorite has always been Kona Cafe at the Poly. I love the Poly resort and the Mahi-Mahi at Kona. They took it off the menu, but I hear that it is now back!

I love the mahi-mahi at Kona. I didn't know it had come back. Back by popular demand I guess!! Good to know.:D

Artist Point, at Wilderness Lodge. The food is wonderful and we've always had excellent service. Can't wait to eat there again in April.

Wilderness Lodge has:

Artist Point: Best for couples or groups of adults. (Our favorite in all WDW, and that's saying a lot.)

Whispering Canyon: Best for families with kids, especially young ones.

Roaring Forks: A small cafeteria for all ages to get a quick bite.
