Favorite ride at AK?

I have only been to AK once and the few hours I was there before it started to poar I had a great time but didnt get to experience the whole park.

So I was wondering what is everyones favorite ride in the Animal Kingdom?

I agree 100%.......in fact, I'm still deciding if its my favorite ride on property! It definitely has the best theming, IMHO.

Tie between the safari ride and Everest. I love the safari because I love taking animal photos and it just makes it so darn easy, I've come away from that ride with so many wonderful photographs. Everest is one of the best coasters out there (especially for me, I don;t go upside down). I'd be happy just going to AK to do those 2 rides.

I think Everest is actually the best Disney attraction ever. It's thrilling and the theming is great!

I like Everest, but my favorite attraction at AK is "It's Tough to ba a Bug." My wife's favorite is "The Festival o the Lion King." As you can tell, we're not huge roller-coaster fans.

My favorite ride is also Expedition Everest that ride is so awesome ! I will hve to say that the safari ride is a close tie. I love animals and I enjoy watching them and taking pictures of them. I like Kali River Rapids to thats my third choice I wish the ride was a longer but its fun all the same.

EE is our fav...but we like many, many of the others....so, we can spend two days there and have a great time......second to MK, AK is our fav park....:mickey:

I have to go with Kilamanjaro Safari. We were the family of the day two years ago and got the first ride prior to the park opening up. nothing like seeing the animals when they first come out.

I'd have to go with Expedition Everest but I really enjoyed seeing the photos of kids crying after riding Dinosaur. I know it's not nice to laugh at their terror but I just can't help it.

rode everest for the first time tonight. Loved it, total of four times. got to love magic hours!!!

it did break down for a few minutes however, some maintenance thing, no one really know. my friend was stuck at the top of the ride right before the backwards part for like 10 minutes; he was getting freaked out

I didn't see the happy kind of terror when I was there. These kids were genuinely terrified. It was probably wrong for me to laugh at them but I was very careful to wait until they had walked away before I started busting up.

Mine would have to be EE. I'm a huge fan of roller coasters, and although EE isn't a true roller coaster, it still adds the feeling of it. I also love the atmosphere that Disney creates for it, in fact, one of my favorite parts is probably walking through the line and seeing all the things that make you feel like you're on an expedition!

Dinosaur would have to be 2nd, it's a great ride, and it's hard to believe that I used to be scared of it when I was younger. Now probably one of my greatest joys on Dinosaur is screaming at the dinosaurs and making a good pose for the final picture :).

Call me a sucker for thrill rides, and you'd be right. I love the feeling of action, and in my opinion, any ride that incorporates action into it, is my kind of ride:thumbsup:.

I'm kind of torn between Dinosaur and Expedition Everest. Dinosaur honestly scares me, but there's something about it that makes me want to keep getting back on it! And Expedition Everest is just awesome, I love how everything about it makes me feel like I've been transported out of Florida and plopped down in the middle of Asia.

I like to think of it as East Coast's Matterhorn. They don't really compare since one is awesome and the other is the Matterhorn. I still love them both though. I'm still excited when I see the Matterhorn approaching in the distance every time I visit Disneyland.

I must say, as annoying as the guy from CSI is the Carnotaurus it animated incredibly well. I think my wife screamed when it came running at us.

I've always said Dinosaur, but the more I think about it, and the longer I'm away, the more I lean toward the live animals of Kilamanjaro Safaris. I can't wait to go on this ride again!

EE is the best ride with the best queue ever. The safari is a great experience, one that I must go on several times on every trip. It has never been the same twice. The Lion King show is also a can't miss as it is a fantastic experience with singing, dancing, music and fun!

Love Love LOVE the Safari. Every time we go its awesome and it seems like every other time is the BEST one ever!! We always say "ok we are NOT taking any more pics on the safari" - we take lots every year because there are so many opportunities not to be missed. Not only are the animals stunning but the savannah itself is beautiful! We've had/seen an elephant block our path, giraffes mere feet from us, okapi run in a pack, baby elephants playing in the water, the lion and lioness grooming each other, and so much more... Just when you think youve seen it all, something spontaneous and new happens there!

Expedition Everest is my family's hands down favorite "ride" :coaster: at AK now (used to be the safari), but Festival of the Lion King :simba: is the best "show" in all of WDW in my opinion.
