View Full Version : Which extinct attraction would you bring back?

03-06-2008, 10:38 AM
If you could bring back one attraction, what would you pick? I'd pick Horizons definitely, but there are loads of others that I miss: Dreamflight, Mission to Mars, World In Motion -not to mention the original Journey Into The Imagination. I could go on (and on) lol!

I was going to do this as a poll, but there are too many options, and I'd probably miss something out!

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride! My sister LOVED this ride on our very first trip and I lost count of how many times we did it. It was sad to see it go, it held a lot of memories for us!

03-06-2008, 10:45 AM
Mr Toad - I forgot all about that. Good job I didn't do a poll!:D

03-06-2008, 11:16 AM
I really miss 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

03-06-2008, 11:17 AM
The only rides that I really miss are Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the Skyway. Horizons and the original Journey Into Imagination too. I loved the original Journey into Imagination so much I bought a Figment gold pendant and a stuffed Figment. And I was 15 (almost 16) at the time.

For me it would also be 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey into Imagination. :figment:

Ahhhh, those were the days...lol. I would vote for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I loved it when I was younger and wish my girls could experience it at least once. Also, Journey in to Imagination...the original. :)

Horizons, Skyway, Mr. Toad, and World of Motion....exact order depends on time of day and phase of moon....

20,000 Leagues! All the way! I so wish my kids could go on that! It was so cool to say I had been on a submarine!!!

Horizons and The World of Motion. They really expressed what Epcot was supposed to be about.

Does anyone have a list of all the extinct attractions?

No one miss Captain EO?lol

Did anyone ever go on Flight to The Moon which Mission to Mars replaced?

Definitely MR. TOAD'S WILD RIDE :cloud9:

1) Journey Into Your Imagination
2) Horizons

03-06-2008, 07:22 PM
World of Motions and Horizons, I have many fond memories of both.

03-06-2008, 07:30 PM
I have fond memories of 20,000 Leagues and the skyway.

03-06-2008, 07:54 PM
MR. TOAD!

and I miss the skyway too. I was part of the Save Mr. Toad movement - had a tshirt I wore each trip.... no matter. They still replaced it with some pooh! :D

At least Mr. Toad is still at DL in Cali.

The SWAN boat ride that was in MK...I have good memories.

03-07-2008, 12:16 AM
Horizons and Journey into Imagination.

03-07-2008, 12:37 AM
The Animation Tour, I enjoyed the movie with Walter Cronkite and Robin Williams. I Wish I could get a copy of it.

03-07-2008, 04:21 AM
I also miss Spaceship Earth being narrated by Walter Cronkite, so much better than Jeremy Irons and his faux American accent. :)

03-07-2008, 05:27 AM
Horizons is number one on my list. The original Imagination ride and 20k would also be there.

03-07-2008, 07:53 AM
Toads ride at Mk
Wheel of motion or Horizons at Epcot

03-07-2008, 11:01 AM
This would make an interesting poll. Since the original question only allows for a single attraction; I would have to go with Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

There are a few others I would like to see back in order:
20,000 Leagues
World of Motion

03-07-2008, 11:03 AM
Did anyone ever go on Flight to The Moon which Mission to Mars replaced?

I do not remember Mission to the Moon, but have vague memories of Mission to Mars as a child.

03-07-2008, 11:16 AM
CAPTAIN EO !!!! He is wacked now, but back then Michael Jackson was IT !! And what a collaboration with George Lucas. Awesome !!!

Animation Tour - I always left that building very inspired.

Does River Country count?

03-07-2008, 11:41 AM

Hands down!

03-07-2008, 12:11 PM
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, with Mr. Toad a close second! :mickey:

03-07-2008, 01:53 PM
As much as it did nothing but scare the heck outta me, I'd have to say bring back Alien Encounter. I'd love to go on that with some of my friends now and see how creeped out they'd get!

On a side note about Alien Encounter, I went on the Alien Encounter 'simulator' at DisneyQuest last May...and walked off very disappointed. They shouldn't even associate 'Alien Encounter' with that simulator!

Walt Lucas

how about all of them? including reverting the revamps including the tiki room and bringing back the un-pc version of "Pirates". I still think the 5th park @ WDW should be a lost disney park. Make it just like the MK but with a "lost" before each land. I think the largest area would be tomorrowland because its always changing and you could throw the lost EPCOT attractions in there too and since there's not a lot of lost adventure land stuff, how about an attraction about the show "Lost"?

03-07-2008, 07:17 PM
Captain EO
Superstar Television

03-07-2008, 08:47 PM
