in disneyland, there is one ride in each park that is "not on the fastpass system," which means that you can get any fastpass plus a fastpass for that ride, without worrying about the two-hour waiting time. for example, you can get a FP for space mountain and then get one for for roger rabbit 5 minutes later, because the roger rabbit FP is not on the clock system - but you wouldn't be able to get a FP for SM and, say, BTMRR, because you would have to wait two hours or until you used your SM FP.

are there rides that are not "on the clock system" in disney world?

we're going over spring break, and i'm planning my strategy for not going insane with the crowds!:paranoid:

None that I know of. Maybe Main Street Jim will have some input on this.

I seem to remember that maybe LMA isn't "on the system"..... I'd guess for scheduled things like shows they wouldn't be linked, but I'm not positive about that.
