Help with favorites on computer

I have always put my favorites in the order that I want them. I had them that way for over a year. Last week somehow they got rearranged alphabetically. I right clicked on them and dragged them back where I wanted, but they keep going back in alphabetical order. Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening? I have windows vista if that matters. Thanks!

Ooooo how I hate when my PC tries to outsmart me. :) I don't know how to make it work for you, but here's a way you can outsmart your PC. Rename your favorites by putting a number in front of the name. Then when it alphabetizes it will put them in numerical order. Good luck!

Are you RIGHT clicking and dragging? I have Vista, too, and mine stay put where I want them if I LEFT click and hold the left button down while dragging it to where I want it.
