OK so the finale was on a couple weeks ago and it said it was on for 2 hrs.I didnt watch since I was at work but knew I could watch it on the puter and on Demand.I watched the 1st hr on the puter but the second hr on Demand was the 1st hr playing again.SO did they play the 2nd hr or was i thinking i saw it was on for 2 hrs instead of one.SO i see today on the puter that NBC is not picking up the show for a 6 season.Hopefully things change so we can find out what happens with everyone.

I didn't even realize the season finale was two weeks ago. I missed it as well because I was at work. Haven't had time to sit at the computer to watch it on line. Hopefully they will do another episode to tie up all the loose ends. Even if they filmed it and it went right to DVD would be nice - we would get some closure. While I liked the show w/ James Caan, Tom Selleck's addition made me extremely happy.

Ok...here is a summary of important events:

First, Danny and DeLinda are going to get married decided to do it at the same time that Mike and Piper were going to do it. Mike decided to have a marriage because he didn't want to tell his family that he is already married, so he told them that they were going to get married and his family decided to come in for the weekend and see the wedding.

Delinda's mom returns for the wedding and tells her that she has left Ed and that their marriage is over.

Then, Casey's brother came to the Monticetto and let's Cooper know that the will that Casey left should override his purchase of the hotel and he offers to buy it for what Cooper paid plus a few million. Cooper turns down the offer and consults legal. She tells him that the will might stand and he should take the offer, but he still declines.

Mike and Danny have a bachelor party and Mike wants no females there. Mike's straight laced, married for 40 years uncle brings 2 ladies to entertain the crowd and the uncle ends up leaving with one. At the party, Casey's brother decides that he is still in love with Sam, he goes to Delinda and Piper's bachelorette party to ask Sam to marry him and she said YES! That makes 3 weddings and they are all going to be at the same time.

Cooper tells Sam about his plans to add a hgih roller tower to the Monticetto and Sam is quite pleased. Cooper tells her that he is going away for a few days and that he will talk more when he gets back. In the next scene the Monticetto jet has crashed and there are no reported survivors. Cooper is assummed dead.

The three couples take it as a sign and cancel the weddings and make it a memorial service for Cooper instead.

At the service, the band sings a tribute song and as it is over, Cooper appears in the back and is applauding. This causes quite a response, naturally. Delinda gets a pain and cries out for Danny, when she lifts her hand, she is bleeding. Danny and Cooper run to her and that is how is ends!

I may have missed some details, but that is the jist of it. I hope that they don't leave it like that!:mickey:

It was announced last week that the show has been canceled.

What we saw were the last two episodes done and no more will be made. According to NBC the show is extremely expensive to do and the ratings were never high.

Too bad. I really liked the addition of Cooper.

I'm also sorry to hear the show was canceled. I've enjoyed the show since it started, and also liked the addition of Tom Selleck as well.

I see why the show is so expensive, even though most of it is filmed here in LA. The soundstages over in Culver City take up a huge amount of space, and as you see on the show, looks like a real casino. Though they also film in Vegas as well. The show needs lot of people on what appears to be mostly a single camera shoot (meaning very long days) ... They're bascially doing a mini film every week to 10 days. Most one hour shows are filmed similar, but don't require so many people.

From what I read they were really hurt by the writers strike, and were not able to wrap up the show like they would have wanted. I hate when shows don't get a proper ending, especially if I've watched them for a while.

As disappointed as I am, that does make sense to me. I have alwasy imagined that it is expensive to shoot that program. I don't think that the move from 9 to 10 helped them any either.

I'm also really sad that this show was cancelled. My husband read an article (sorry don't know what magazine!) stating that they are looking at doing a small TV movie to tie up the loose ends for everyone. Let's hope so!!

That would be awesome. I hate it when shows end on cliffhangers and you never really know what happens next!

The fact that Magnum PI bought the casino really helped this year, but this show really lost me as a committed viewer 2 seasons ago. It just go boring and weird.
