Does anyone else miss Captain EO as much as I do?

You can watch part 1 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=AstW05bDiQU) here and part 2 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=l2Zt-57Cg0U&feature=related) here, but the resolution isn't great and of course 3-D makes a BIG difference.

Here's a poll- I'll try to set it so you can vote as many choices as you like.

We saw it at Epcot and liked it very well. I think it's a shame MJ turned out so weird. He was pretty cool when he was younger.

I do not miss it at all, and think they kept it around too long.

That's a nice way to put it. Of course that's what I meant by "side issues" ...along with all the $ they'd have to pay him & Lucas to show EO again.

Wouldn't the Disney PR people just love having to answer all the reporter's questions? (I love the press but I don't always love the influence they have on others' decisions that affect me. Did I word that carefully enough? :D)

Nice MJ moonwalk at 5:25 of EO part 2 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=l2Zt-57Cg0U&feature=related). If you like that, check out similar moves in this video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ymZw6kt1Lwk) at :39 (grey suited guy across back of room) and at 1:28... other videos of same dancer in this thread (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=126945).

Never saw it

Well, then you've been deprived, just like those who've missed out on Mr Toad's ride.

I'll always remember sitting in the EO theatre wearing my 3D glasses, when the "star field" lights all over the curtains (+ ceiling + walls? help me somebody) would shift from 2D to 3D... wow... :magic: Tell me, those who remember, has there ever been a neater effect in WDW? (nothing like that at Muppetvision or Philharmagic or HISTA, right?). After that it probably didn't matter whether I even liked the film. :D

It was okay. We have a video of it. It doesn't show the cool effects but it's fun to see and remember.:mickey:

It was just OK as far as I was concerned and actually like the Honey I Shrunk the Audience that replaced it because it included more special effects then Captain did. Plus, I never was a huge fan of Michael Jackson's music even before he went all weird on us.
