This may be an odd question, but I'm wondering about how much does Disney pay their musicians and performers? For example, the cast of Beauty and the Beast at Disney Studios or the performers in the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. My youngest son is a budding musician and I think I'd be okay with him working at Walt Disney World ( would there be family discounts involved?) . :mickey:

I believe that if you are a performer in a show that you must be in the union, so you get a union wage which is higher than the regular CMs. This is just what I've heard, so someone may come along and either dispute or corroborate what I have said.

1) You can audition even if you are not a current CM.
2) If employed, you can join the union at that time.
. . . performers are Actor's EQUITY
. . . musicians are Musicians Local 389
3) You receive a contract, usually for 1-year.
4) It is renewed at the discretion of WDW.
5) You receive the same discounts as other CM's.
