Hi everyone,

My extended family is thinking about all going to WDW together in August. I am wondering if we should do any Grand Gathering experiences? Have any of you? If so, would you mind sharing which ones, if you recommend them, and if the food/entertainment was good? Thank you.

:)

We did the Breakfast at Tony's Town Square, and that was fantastic. I thought it was well worth the money. They had a little dance party with the kids, and good food. The characters were Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Mickey, and it was hosted by Tony himself (who was awesome)

I would do it again if we ever have that many people going again.

It was a lot of fun! :) I'll share our experience in photos so you'll get a good idea of what I'm talking about :D

We started in the Contemporary hotel where we had snacks and were greeted by Captain Hook and Mr. Smee...

Then Captain Hook walked us out to our boat and said "goodbye"

First, though, he introduced us to our Pirate, Patch. He was very funny, here he is giving our 15yo DD a hard time, LOL...

He did Disney Trivia on the boat ride over to the Seven Seas Lagoon where we saw the Electrial Water Pageant...

After that, we had a spectacular view of the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom--complete with music and narration...

On the way back, they did more trivia and one of our kids won a "matey" cap...

Then they told the story of Peter Pan and when we got to the dock there was a surprise that we hadn't told the kids about :secret: ... Peter Pan was waiting for us (our 7yo DS is a big fan).

It was a great experience and the kids had a great time. Have fun planning. :)
