I saw someone mention this in the favorite pre-show poll so I thought "interesting :D"

Mine is definately HISTA..That Kodak stuff is excruciating!!

eeekkkk I kind if like the Kodak stuff. But I guess it would be the worse out of all the choices. Some there should not even be included!!

The Kodak stuff is WAY too sappy for me, and as much of a Disney nut as I am, I couldn't stand through what felt like an after-school special infomercial more than once. I deliberately skip HISTA so I don't have to stand through this pre-show anymore.

I HATE the Stitch preshow.

I always tear up when I see the Kodak stuff at HISTA! What a sap!

I also detest the test track stuff- mainly because one time we got stuck there in a rain storm and had to see it for 2 hours....

But at least we were dry

Another vote for the Kodak stuff. There is something actually depressing about it to me.

Another vote for HISTA...just doesn't seem like Disney when I'm sitting through a long commerical!

milhouse
02-13-2008, 02:45 PM
What about the Nemo musical at AK. You want a good seat so you wait in the line that forms outside the building. The they let you in and you sit and wait another 1/2 hour. Then right before the show starts some guy who has just walked up tries to get the aisle seat from your kid. Sorry your seat's right in the back buddy.

The Stitch pre show is pretty bad too and long. The sign says 5 minute wait so despite my warning the wife and kids go in, I sit outside with the sleeping baby. 50 minutes later they walk out. I had assumed they came out and jumped on Buzz LY. No, it took that long.

I'm going with HISTA. It's just not Disney enough. I know that they need to give Kodak the recognition they deserve, but couldn't they do so in a more Disneyfied manner?

I hate HISTA's "show," I mean commercial. It doesn't really have anything to do with the actual ride!

It's not that I don't like the Muppet pre-show (In fact I voted in the other poll as my favorite preshow! ) But as you can see, some people have already voted for it and I heard a lot of sighs when I was there the last time

I couldn't pick HISTA because of my own stupidity. The first time I ever saw it...the little boy that lost his dog part...Oh my gosh when that boy came up to his Mom with a tear in his eye I completely lost it and started crying. My ex-boyfriend caught me and asked what was wrong. My DS was totally perplexed. Both suddenly felt guilty that they had done something wrong and asked..."NOTHING" I snapped back then just tried my best to hold it in. A couple of minutes later this other guy started "teasing" his wife by pretending to cry and rub his eyes. At first the ex and DS got rather offended thinking he was making fun of me then he pointed to his own sobbing wife who promptly slapped him (in fun of course)...then the lady behind me put her hand on my shoulder and said..."it got to me too dear...sniff sniff". I felt so silly crying like a baby and laughing at myself at the same time.

Till this day my son STILL teases me about that and it's one of my favorite memories.

I picked HISTA, because it is just the worst pre-show (BORING) I have ever seen. Test Track comes in a close second (maybe even tied). Once you see it once (okay...twice), the "pick one" joke gets really old. Yet the "newbies" still laugh... :ack:

Well, the absolute worst isn't on the list and isn't at WDW anymore, the old Time machine/timekeeper attraction. Sit there and look at a bunch of clocks on a TV. Now that's excitement. It was so bad that it probably is why people hated the show. How could anyone live through that 15 minute preshow and not be put off for the main show.

Chose RNRC because the pre-show is actually too short. It repeats way before the crowd can leave which completely ruins the effect.

I hate the Dinosaur preshow. It's stupid and long and the guy is the post annoying reshow guy I have ever seen in my entire life. This preshow just annoys me. A lot.

I also hate HISTA, but Dinosaur has a more personal hate with me.

I don't know what to choose. A lot of your choices are ones that i hate equally. Here are the ones i hate.

1. Of course HISTA. What is with the whole Kodak thing? You stand there for a whole 10 minutes just waiting for that commercial to end.

2. EEA Is WAY too long for me. I love the ride but the pre show is just WAY too long for me. I can't ride it more than once a trip because i can't stand waiting through that pre show.

3. MI LFCC is a good show except it is probably the longest wait in all of Disney! The line in the first waiting area is very long and you wait untill the main show is over so the pre show ends so YOU can finally wait even longer in the pre show to wait for the main show to end. You need to do this ride early in the day before your feet ache and start to get tired because you will be standing for a long time.

I have to vote for HISTA. They just need to tear the whole show down. It is very fuzzy and very out dated compared to the other 4-D shows at Disney.

1) I want to vote "none of the above".
2) It think the worst pre-show is the resort check-in line.
3) Like any WDW line, it can be short.
4) However, it can also be 1/2-hr to 1-hr.
5) And, nothing to kill the time.

Another surprise for me (that HISTK's preshow is so reviled), but that's what great about the boards. I know what I know, and I know my opinions already. I learn (despite so many trips) because I can hear from others here.
That being said, I cry (in a big tough manly way) every time I see the Kodak preshow...

Agreed!

Plus, who wants to stand around on a slanted floor for that long?? When the video is done i'm always thinking "Thank you, Lord!"

HISTA is the worse for me too. It was not too bad a few years ago, but the newest commercial kills me...

Disney-lovin' Dutchman
02-16-2008, 09:16 AM
I have thought about it, and I can only think of the pre-show of HISTA as the ONLY pre-show that makes me not visit a ride a or show. If I go to HISTA and it's not at least halfway through the pre-show, I walk out again. The main show is not worth 10 minutes of the pre-show

I don't really care for the Test Track pre-show but the ride is so great that I am willing to go through that..but not HISTA

Yeah, I have to agree here. When we first saw the pre-show, my kids thought that was the movie, and were kind of confused because it wasn't really 3-D.

As I said earlier, the Muppets IS my favorite pre-show and I added it to the poll because I have heard many people complain about this at the pre-show.

Also, it does have some votes in this poll, so not everyone is a fan :mickey:

"absolute worst"? No way. Again with negativity. And "absolute" no less. No, all I'd be able to offer is my own personal opinion, I wouldn't dare feel justified in defining an absolute. Sorry, I prefer to think of the positive aspects.

But that's just my opinion.

Honestly, I don't like most of the pre-shows. When you really think about it, I mean what a dumb concept ... like people are really fooled into thinking they're not still standing in line?? How dumb to ride designers think people are?

I voted for Stitch. I don't know if it's the worst pre-show or not, but the attraction is so God-awful from start to finish that I figured it probably had to be.

Test Track and Dinosaur are also pretty painful to stand through.

I suppose I'm in the low percentile ..... I love the ride, the pre-show is cool to look at, but the never ending, clanking, clicking just about drives me insane by the time I get to the ride....why can't they enter some different static noise at different stations.....the same through 40 / 60 minutes gets OLD QUICK!!:ill:

The old pre-show for HISTA ( True Colors ) I really loved, and I also found it inspirational.

The new pre-show for HISTA is totally boring.

I do not agree that Disney is trying to fool us into thinking we are not in a line by giving us a pre-show. I feel that Disney is trying to entertain us, for the length of time that we have to stand in line. It keeps some people from getting cranky.

I had to go with Laugh Floor b/c, quite frankly, I don't even remember it, and if I don't remember it, it must not have been good. Wasn't much of a great show and I can skip it next time I go to WDW. Now I do see alot of Intercotees have went with HISTA. I would have to disagree b/c you kinda need to look at it from a stand point of them promoting using your IMAGINATION b/c a picture can say a thousand words and it not be the same as the person next to you. And being at JII Ft. Figment, the "theme" for the preshow fits in quite well. I actually wish I had the two previous preshows as well as the new one in a master format rather than home video.

Soarin gets my vote - you get in line and stand on an angle where everyone is Packed in to take up all the available space. They play stupid games on a wall - that unless you are in the front are pointless. Then you get to go into another line - only you might get shuffled back as everyone is taking the available space. So as you try to shuffle into the next line I always tend to start "Moo-ing" as in cattle. Then you go down around a corner into what looks like a basement. And you wait in the basement - then you get to go around another corner and they line you up in your spots.

You are stopped like 3 times and you wait with nothing to do! The pre-show with Putty from Seinfeld is somewhat entertaining - but by the time I get there I'm annoyed with the flow of the line.

i'd have to go for HISTA. they should've just stuck with true colors. as for the "10 minute commercial", if i weren't for the fact that i'm too polite, i would love to give this preshow the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" treatment

I agree with you! I enjoyed the True Colors pre-show...it made me teary eyed everytime I watched it but I don't care for the new one.
I also think that even seeing a pre-show numerous times helps to relieve some of the boredom of standing in line.

I voted for Test Track. All the banging & clanking around gives me a terrible migraine. I only do this if we have a fp. I just can't stand waiting in line so long for a 2 minute ride and then have that migraine not quite fair.
