Actually, my most missed ride is the Skyway. I always miss that one at Disney. In about 1985, I remember being on it at DLR while it stopped for about 5 minutes. We were right above the Main Street Electrical Parade. AWESOME!

BTW, since Skyway is not listed, I voted for 20k

Since I could only pick one I picked the original Imagination. But Horizons and World of Motion are right there with it!

Why list Dreamflight, but not the original If You Had Wings?

I don't know - I kinda liked Dreamflight better....If You Had Wings also changed to If You Could Fly, after Eastern went under, and then Dreamflight went up when Delta became the sponsor. It just thought it was a great ride, and I miss it as much as all the others, :(although Buzz is pretty cool.

Some great attractions on this list. Chose Horizons because it really represented what Epcot was about. But World of Motion was also a big favorite and could easily have been the choice.

I'm going with Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but Horizons is a very close 2nd. I loved the part when you're facing the big screen.

Somehow I missed the original Figment ride.

But for me without a doubt it is 20000 Leagues!!!! It was GREAT to ride and almost just as great to watch from the outside. It added a lot of atmosphere to that corner of the park.

I am STILL so disappointed that they closed Alien Encounter. :(Personally, I didn't like Alien Encounter, but I do miss it because it was replaced with that God-awful Stitch attraction. :ack:

I voted for Mr. Toad. Really though, I had little alternative. Growing up in Seattle, we always went to Disneyland. My first trip to WDW wasn't until 2000, and so the only attractions on the list I've experienced are Mr. Toads (technically I did this at DL, but whatev) and Alien Encounter. Of the 2 I prefer Mr. Toad.

I voted for the orig Imagination. I really don't like the new version. It was so much more fun and colorful - and not so "talky" - with Dreamfinder (still have my pic of myself with him holding Figment! Now I have a pic of my daughter with a giant Figment - just don't seem right)

I really liked "If You Had Wings", too.

I have a map of the park from my first trip there in 1975 that I put in a scrapbook comparing it with my dd's first trip in 2005. What a difference!

Thanks for the poll. Brought back some memories!

all i know is Disney would be smart to open a Lost Disney Park with all the above brought back to life for all to enjoy once again. there's no way i can pick just one. Sorry

Well, I could list every single attraction that I miss, and I know there are some out there that would criticize me (us) for living in the past, but some of these are connected with childhood memories. They really brought us happiness and when they closed, it was as if a part of me was taken away, never to be seen again. I agree with some of the other posts - let's make a whole park with all the retired attractions/rides. Maybe they'll have those delicious Dole whips that you could get by the Tiki Room and those balloons in the shape of Mickey Mouse. Remember?

I love the theme song to "If You Had Wings." Remember riding the vehicle into the earth at the beginning? Remember feeling like you were taking off and flying in that big screen room? Remember the cop directing traffic with the people and flamingos?

How about actually believing you were driving Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? I was heartbroken if I couldn't drive the blue car. I remember standing in line and trying to count the people ahead of us to see which color we would get to ride. I miss that.

The Tiki Room was one of my all-time favorites. I can remember staring at the tiki poles and trying to figure out how their eyes and lips moved. I even thought that it actually started storming outside when the 'gods became angry.' And the music was so much better than it was now. Remember when Disney only did original stuff and didn't borrow from other movies/music/etc.??? Walt didn't even believe, for the most part, in trying to get big name stars to do his voices. He used in-house staff. That made it so much more original, in my opinion.

I could go on and on... :old: Skyway, Horizons, Figment, Food Rocks, 20,000 Leagues...

But ,
Does anyone remember a show called Captain Emo- ( or something like that)
Micheal jackson was in it??
Was this at Disney?

Captain eo was a 3d film shown at the imagination pavillion untill "hista" took it's place. it was then moved to the old mickey mouse review was at the magic kingdom, which is where philharmagic is now and yes, it did have Michael Jackson in it.

Sing with me now:

"If we can dream it, then we can do it - yes we can, yes we can..."

Long live Horizons!

If I ever become an Imagineer, I'm leading the charge to raze M:S and bring back this most blessed classic!

This one was hard - I only remember Mr. Toad and 20,000 Leagues. I liked both. I voted for Mr. Toad though, because I found the "descent" simulator in 20,000 Leagues to be kind of lame.

Horizons. Thank goodness I have the DVD of the whole ride. When I get sad I watch it. And you sir, have STILL not watched the copy I gave you (Just kidding.....:) )

Is there a DVD of Horizons for sale somewhere?

I wish Disney would make DVDs of all the extinct attractions. I think there would be more than enough interest to support the effort.

My wife had never been on Mr. Toad's but always heard me talk about it, so lat year we had an opportunity to spend a day in Disneyland when I had to go to California on business. She rode it and loved, got a great pic of her with the Mr. Toad statue in the queue line. There is also a Virtual Toad website out there you can go to , where they are painstakingly recreating the ride virtually on the web. A lot of effort going into it.
