Favorite ride: Fantasyland

Okay, since I don't see polls for the other lands at MK, I'll post some! :mickey:

I had to vote for It's A Small World, although I must say a few things here....

First, the building for IASW is SO much better in DLR, with its own building, and the smiling clock and the gardens and the toy soldiers (they have them at WDW, too, but you can't see them from the outside). The theming is SO MUCH BETTER AT DLR.:thumbsup:

Second, I had to vote for IASW because the brilliant Disney overlords decided to remove THREE of my favorite rides - Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, (I will NEVER forgive them for that HORRIBLE decision),:mad: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (ALSO unforgivable), :mad:and the Skyway. Here's a question....what was the REAL reason they closed it down?:confused:

Anyway, Fantasyland has plummeted in enjoyment in my book because there's just not many things I actually want to ride on over there anymore. :(

I like them all, and feel that small world is the "anchor" of Fantasyland, but Philharmagic is my fav. I try and see it numerous times during my vacation.

The Legend of the Lion King? I think that has been gone for many years now, hasn't it? Since the AK opened? I could be wrong. Fantasyland is my least favorite land, and I don't spend a lot of time there.

My pick is Peter Pan's Flight. I think Philharmagic is cute but over-rated. The real reason for no more Skyway? Officially, I think the idea was that it was dated and no longer relevant, fresh, or in keeping with a modern theme park. And I agree with that assessment. Unofficially, I think it was a risk to guests with people throwing things down from overhead (a shame) and hard to maintain from a safety standpoint.

I voted for Peter Pan's Flight. IASW is definitely a classic, but I think PP is a classic in its own way.

Phillarmagic is my favorite thing in Fantasyland, but I don't view it as a ride. I would call it a show.

My favorite would be Peter Pan's flight. The rest of the family would go with The many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

No question, IASW was the winner for me! I even love the song and have to do it multiple times each day on each trip! Peter Pan was a close second though. I love it almost as much. :thumbsup: I, too, miss the Skyway. It was one of my sister's favs. :(

Philarmagic! Best 3D in Disney. Being older now without rugrats in tow, don't spend much time in Fantasyland. Never really warmed to IASW at WDW but enjoy the one at DLR with its great theming.

This was hard for me. It was between Philharmagic, Pooh, and the Carousel. I went with the Carousel, as it's a new must-do with our DD now. Love the lights on it and just looking at it, too! So pretty and full of fantasy. :cloud9:

Philharmagic for me! I haven't seen ISAW since they did the refurb, but if it looks anywhere near as good as the DL one, it would greatly improve its status in my mind.

I love all the rides in Fantasyland, but I chose Cinderella's Golden Carousel as my favorite. It always makes me "flashback" to when I was a little girl and my parents would help me hold on just to make sure I didn't fall off. I ride it at least once during every trip. I'm very nostalgic (sp?) about certain rides at Disney.

It's a Small World. Call me a sentimental fool but this ride is iconic Disney to me. I love it and a trip to WDW wouldn't be the same without it!

PhillarMagic, with Winnie the Pooh a VERY VERY close second. Although PhillarMagic isn't a classic, it will become one. It is amazing every time I see it and is my favorite 3D show in the world.

I love Winnie the Pooh- I think it is a lot better than PP and Snow White. :blush:
