Feb. 3, 1925 - John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet in many of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh movies was born in Plattesville, Wisc.
Feb. 3, 1930 - Roy Disney signed a deal with M. George Borgfeldt Co. of New York to sell Mickey and Minnie Mouse figurines.
Feb. 3, 1945 - Disney’s 7th animated feature film “The Three Caballeros” was released.
Feb. 3, 1956 - Nathan Lane, the voice of Timon in Disney’s 1994 “The Lion King” was born Joseph Lane in Jersey City, N.J.
Feb. 3, 1969 - Cartoonist Al Taliaferro, the 1st artist of Donald Duck, died in Glendale, Ca.
Feb. 3, 1974 – The Disney TV movie “Carlo, the Sierra Coyote” aired.
Feb. 3, 1989 – Actor Ryne Sanborn, known to fans of “High School Musical” as Jason Cross, was born in Salt Lake City, Ut.
Feb. 3, 1993 – Disney’s 2-part TV special “The Best of Disney Music: A Legacy in Song” aired on CBS. (Part-2 aired Feb. 21, 1983)
Feb. 3, 2005 – It was reported that Disney Hand, worldwide outreach for The Walt Disney Co., WLS-Channel 17, WLS-AM (890), WZZN-FM (94.7), WMVA-AM (1000), and WRDZ-AM (1300), have committed $500,000 in cash and public service air time to the Museum of Broadcast Communications. The donation would support the development of the new Museum of Broadcast Communications in downtown Chicago, Il.
Feb. 3, 2007 – The Walt Disney Company announced a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross to aide in relief efforts following the severe storms and tornados that struck Central Florida the night before.
