question about VWL occupancy?

I am going to rent DVC points for our trip in Nov. We are going a "slower" week(if there is that any more)... 8-14.... It is nearly impossible to get the reservation 7 months out(going with someone who doesn't have VWL points) or should I find someone with VWL points and rent ASAP? I will be needing a studio.

We own at SSR and made reservations for July eleven months out. We were able to switch to WLV at 7 months out by calling every day. We reserved 2 studios and the only hassle was having to call everyday, but it was worth it. Good luck!
