I am looking to rent a studio in VWL.Does anyone have a link to a map of the buildings? Are the studios spread thruout or just in one area?? Trying to figure out distance walking since I take my daughters by myself. In the past, I have been lucky asking for a room closest to the buses, mainly due to security reasons, walking alone in the dark. thanks.

They are all in one building. There is a covered walkway that leads to the main Wilderness Lodge but it is only a few yards. They do have long indoor corridors though!

I don't know of a map online, but I do know that the studio villa are spread out within the WL Villas building. They often connect a one bedroom villa and a studio to create a two bedroom villa. We find the bus transporation at the villas to be very close. I'm certain if you call the resort they would email or fax you the layout or accomodate your request for room location.

InfoCentral has maps (http://www.intercot.com/resorts/disney/maps/default.asp)of every resort on property.
None of the maps Disney uses have room numbers on them- just a general map of the whole resort.

Here is a map of the VWL (http://www.intercot.com/resorts/disney/maps/images/wlodge07.JPG).
The DVC villas are all in the building to the lower right of the map. #24 (the Health Club) is in the DVC wing.
The studios are located throughout the entire building. But they are all contained in the DVC wing.

We just spent last week end there. Stayed in 5526. Its a studio dormer room with knee walls and a vaulted ceiling. Little smaller than the standard studio, but so cozy. It looks over the walkway to the main lobby. The best thing we liked is that it was close to the elevator and if bus is your primary mode of transportation then its a short elevator ride down 5 floors and just a 2 minute walk to the bus stop. Hope this helps.

Thanks dvcdad. That was great.

Are any of the studio rooms able to see MK fireworks? We have reservations there coming up later this year (we are on AKL waitlist) but I think I might cancel the waitlist and just stay at VWL!! This looks great.

As I recall you can not see the fireworks from any of the rooms. The villas are located behind the Lodge.
