Park Hopper vs Buying Extra Days

I will be at DW for 6 days, I would only like to park hop on maybe 2 days. Could I buy an 8 day ticket, which would only cost approx$6 more per person, vs $45 for the park hopper option and use the 2 extra days to hop to one other park? Can I do this? Or must I buy a park hopper?

Unfortunately you cannot use an extra park day on your ticket in lieu of the park hopping option.

If you do not purchase the hopper, you will be unable to get into another park if you've entered a park previously that day on your ticket.

As KylesMom said, to visit multiple parks on the same day you must have the park hopper option.

Good question. I've wondered about that before.

So, the other option is a two day no hopper and a six day no hopper. You can enter two parks on the same day with two different tickets. Probably not cost effective...:(
