Extra Magical Evening Hours

Everything I read about the Extra Magical Evening Hours says the parks may be open up to 3 hours after official closing time. Does anyone know more specific information. Is it always 3 hours, or for some parks is it 2 hours?

I'll be visiting in August and currently am working on figuring out where to make ARs. Some decisions could depend on how late a park stays open.

EVERY Extra Magic Evening Hours I have attended have been 3 hours :smickey:

Morning EMHs are 1 hour, and Evening EMHs are 3 hours.

I can confirm this answer. I think Disney leaves it open as a loophole in case they change them in the future.

Everytime I have stayed for them it has always been 3 hours. EMH are great, we always get SO much done!

I did the 1a.m to 4 a.m shift over the XMas holidays. If you can tough it out, that is the time to go.

It far outweights the early morning magic. One night of EMH can pretty much set your whole trip. Especially if it is offered very late at night.

That is one of the huge advantages of staying onsight...take advantage of it.

I think the reasoning for the wording (at least in part) is in the unlikely event that they need to close the park before the three hours is up, you can't ask for a refund or compensation for it not being open for exactly 3 hours.
