i am considering purchasing dvc points, and was wondering if there is any way to get the dining plan for dvc members?

Yes, Vacation Club members may choose to add Disney's Dining Plan (in any of its forms) when they stay on points.

It must be added to your reservation before you arrive. And, it must be paid for at check-in (you cannot pre-pay).

Same rules as with the MYW Packages- everyone in your Villa must be on the plan and it must be for your length of stay.

As long as you are staying in a DVC villa you can add the Dining. If you trade your Vacation Points to Reservation Points and book a hotel on property you cannot add the dining. Wierd rule, fortunately doesn't apply to most people though.

Actually, that's not true anymore.

The Disney Dining Plan, previously available to Disney Vacation Club Members only when staying in a Disney Vacation Club Resort at the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort, now is available to Members staying at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels available through The Disney Collection.

An added note, the deluxe dining plan as well as the basic plan (and the poor value wine and dine plan) are all available for DVC members.
