2007 Favorites!??

So many things happened in WDW in 2007! Some good, some bad but all in 1 year; a few examples: Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, 1,000,000 Million Dreams, Haunted Mansion Rehab, etc.
What was your favorite 2007 event and what was your least favorite?

Favorite was Monster Inc. our 6yo dd's joke she text'd got picked and they put her face on the big tv - on the way out another guest said to her "wow you were the star of the show" it was just awesome

Least Favorite was the crazy lines for soarin' it seems as if 2007 was the 1st year we ever had to wait longer than 30 min - although i have to say worth the wait :mickey:

In all the years i have been to Epcot ..I finally went on test track at night time and it was brilliant !!!

Watching Fantasmic after last seeing it 3 years ago and seeing how many cutbacks they have made on the show which was sad :(

My faves for '07 have to be:
- Dream Fastpass
- Haunted Mansion
- H&V breakfast

My least faves for '07 have to be:
- Soarin' lines (not that they affected DH and I
b/c we get there at open and get a fp but for
those who are less fortunate!)
- Menu changes at Tony's Town Square and Kona
(our faves were taken off)
- Spaceship Earth refurb - DH never got to see
original or this version but is looking forward
to new one ps I still want Walter Cronkite back

Highs: The HM Refurb(much needed), the Christmas Castle makeover (brilliant), the Epcot wand coming down(finally), and the Pirate and Princess Party (with fantastic fireworks).

Lows: The HM refurb (because it was closed when I was there, even though it was much needed), year-round crowds (low crowd times are harder to find), Kona Cafe(we had a truly disappointing meal), Disney Hollywood Studios (needs some new attractions).

favorite new: A pirates tutorial
least favorite: Monsters Inc

Favorite new: Wilderness Lodge(new to us, girls loved it)
Dance party at MGM extra magic hours
HSM moved to MGM where they had much more room and it seemed much more dramatic


Least favorite: How crowded they have let the MVMCP become(we went thursday Nov 15th).

Playhouse disney, I am sure many people are saying "who is stanley anyhow"??? surely needs a revamp

My fav new addition in 2007 was the Monsters Inc Comedy Club. It really was funny.
My lease fav is the fact that when I went, I couldn't ride Spaceship Earth, because of the rehab.

Favorites:

-The Castle lights...I am so glad I got to go and see it. Beautiful.
-HM refurb. I love the changes
-My first time going to WDW during Xmas. Loved it all, especially Osbourne Lights!!

Least Favorites:

-Monsters Laugh Floor
-The crowds Free Dining has brought to September. It used to be my favorite time to go to WDW.
-The mob scene that was MVMCP on 12/18. I was really looking forward to the party for this first time and I could not believe the crowds.

1. F&W headquarters at WOL a) because it was said to see what happened to WOL and b) it was too far out of the way for the rest of the Festival
2. Changes to DDP restaurants list that made it less worthwhile

Our trip Dec 26-31 07' brought so many first sees all of which were great:

Small World (under refurb last trip) looks great.
HM love the Refurb
EE and RNRC first time on these rides
Three Cabelleros miss the old version but still good.
SE loved the first half and hope they add more on the second half (btw if the just kept the 2nd half the same I would have found it perfect)
Jedi training Camp
Pirates Tutorial
Nemo ride and stage shows both were excellent
Lion King Stage show first time was excellent

(didn't see it in person, but the pictures were lovely)

Company paid for a convention at WDW comteparary. Tower castle view on my expense account. That was the best.

Best: EPCOT Wand coming down
Worst: Renaming the "Year of a Million Dreams" to the "Two Years of Two Million Dreams." Real creative Marketing...

I thought I would get into this. Since this was my first trip to WDW during the Christmas season (Dec 15th-23rd) and 23rd time overall, I would say the following are my favorites of 2007.

1. All the decorations thru out WDW. That includes the resorts and parks
2. Cinderella's Castle all lit up. The guy's who did this should get a raise. Big improvement over a cake
3. MVMCP
4. Christmas versions of Wishes and Reflections Of Earth
5. Osborne Dancing Christmas lights.
6. Candlelight Processional (Kirk Cameron)
7. Soarin' First time seeing it. Got on it 7 times
8. The improved POTC,HM,IASW and the first half of SSE
9. Expedition Everest
10. Lights,Motors,Action Stunt Show
11. Finally seeing Scrooge McDuck...

Now for my dislikes:

1. The second half of SSE,:ack: what are they thinking? That is the way it's going to stay I hear. To bad.
2. Stitch's Great Escape.:ack: Bring back Alien Encounters.
3. Sounds Dangerous.:ack::ack: Possible replacement: ANYTHING.
4. Wonders Of Life vacant. :confused:What are they waiting for?
5. Not being able to stay a few more day's.:(

i was very happy with the hm refurb, monsters inc, three cabelleros, only regret is se and rcnrc were closed while we were there in sept :mickey:

I was disappointed:
that they didn't do the Christmas version of The Country Bear Jamboree

My favorite of 2007 changes would be the HM refub, but there was nothing that I didn't like that has been added or changed. HM was much needed though.

Least favorite is more about an on-going problem, but seems to get worse every year. The buses. Seems every year we have more times with bus problems. Our last trip in October '07 there were 4 or 5 times we had to wait 40 minutes to an hour for a bus. Really makes the mood and magic go downhill fast.
