On my last trip to DLR we got to ride on the Lilly Belle private car!

If you ask ahead of time for the Lilly Belle at City Hall they will give you a reserved time and a commemorative ticket.

That way you don't have to wait for an available train and you get a really cool souvenir!

Can just anyone do this? I'd heard only members of Club 33 were able to get the tickets and times from City Hall.

I'd chew off my left leg to get a ride! :D I'm taking my boyfriend, a 'first-timer' in March and this would be a wonderful touch to the trip.

I have never been a Club 33 member, so I assume anyone can ask!

PS: If anyone needs another to join them dining at Club 33 I am available... ANYTIME!!!

This is pretty sweet. Will they let little kids ride. My 3 year old LOVES trains ("loves" is an understatement) and he especially loves "red cabooses", so this would be a dream for him. I know it's all fancy inside, so I wonder if it would be permitted...

I would assume they would let kids ride. Everything is either hot glued or nailed down, and there is a CM riding in the car with you to make sure no one goes crazy.

They let us ride this September with 2 children, great looks from the other guests on the "regular" train as they escort you into the private caboose, highly recommend!

That's unfortunate! Maybe it was super busy, or you just got a CM with different ideas. Things do change, and if lots and lots of people have started asking for it, DL might have changed the rules.

I hope your birthday was fun anyway! :mickey:

I went to city hall yesterday and asked too. I was also told that it is for Club 33 members only. I figured I might as well try in the hopes that it was just a difference of opinions with cast members. oh well...no harm, no foul. Didn't let it ruin a fabulous day. :cloud9:

You might also try just asking a Conductor at the Main Street Station. The other people in the car with us did not have the Guest Relations tickets, they just asked at the station.

I was there in October with Disneyluvr2 and a couple of other friends. We asked at the station to ride and we were told to come back as they were not staffed at that time for us to ride. We came back and were escorted back to the Lily Belle. Another Family sitting in the car in front of the Lily Belle jumped in behind us and entered along with us. The conductor was so kind and did not ask them to leave. But, they did not know or share what they were expierenceing (spelling sorry). They allowed thier children to put thier feet in the seats. The conductor was being so kind answering our questions and sharing his knowledge. I just could not stand it any longer and asked the children to respect the original fabric, and to "get thier feets off the seats!". I was so upset with the lack of respect this family had for where we were that I said "feets". LOL! But, they complied, thank God. Well, after reading this post I am so glad my friend knew of this special time that we could ride the Lily Belle. And by the way if anyone invites MegaDisney to go to Club 33 they have to take me too!:mickey:
