We are getting ready to start finalizing our ADR's for our next trip. Our plan is to go to Epcot and go directly to Soarin first thing and get fastpasses for it. We always open the parks so we should get one of the first fastpass times. My question is what is the first fast pass time? Because we want to do an early lunch at Garden Grill and not battle the fastpass return time.

I have never had a problem using a FP even after the window has opened (in other words, the hour they give you to use your pass) so don't worry - go and enjoy your lunch :)

I am not 100% sure but I think that the first FP time will be for about 20-30 minutes after park opening. HAVE A GREAT TRIP

I got one of the first fastpasses (http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2122717580100449647RFOpXK) of the day in August 2006 at Space Mountain. It was good for 10:05. I'm not sure if all the rides make you wait an hour or if some have a shorter return time.

Either way, if you get a fastpass for 10am it should not interfere with your lunch.

About 93 to 946 am .... it varies each morning depending if they have a cast member to open the machines first thing in the morning. (My boyfriend used to work at Soarin) :)

This I think really depends on crowds. Christmas week I got there right after the park open and was in a line to get in the fast pass machine lines. Our time turned out to be 10:50-11:50. However when I first got in line it the thingy said 9:15-10:15. So you can see it took awhile and of course you never know how many tickets one person is holding to get FP for.

If you can plan for an early EMH, that would increase your odds of getting an earlier FP. :mickey:

If you can get to Soarin 1st when the park opens - you should be able to grab fastpasses (probably for around 9:30 - 9:40) and then ride the attraction right away.

Please know that one of the best kept secrets of the FastPass is that you can return AFTER your window - believe me this is true. Do not rush thru a meal. We have used hundreds of FastPasses AFTER the window of time listed on the pass. Disneyland has the same policy. Disneyland Paris does not. If you are even one minute late after your one hour window, the Paris CM's will turn you away. NOT SO at WDW. Don't worry - try it and you will see.
