DDP availability without staying in Disney

Can someone not staying on property purchase the Disney Dining Plan?

I beieve the DDP is linked to your Disney resort reservation.

I can't get the link to work but go to info centra, go to dining, click on the info for DDP.

To obtain the DDP, you must be staying at a Disney Resort on a Magic Your Way Package, which includes your room, park passes and the Dining Plan.

The only other guests who are eligible to purchase the DDP are DVC members who are staying in a DVC Resort on points.

Other than that- no, you cannot get the Dining Plan.
