Dec. 22, 1963 – Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired a new version of the annual holiday episode “From All of Us to All of You.”
Dec. 22, 1968 – The Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired “The Mickey Mouse Anniversary Show.”
Dec. 22, 1995 – The Disney film “Tom and Huck” was released.
Dec. 22, 1995 – Writer, Imagineer and Disney Legend Bill Cottrell passed away in Burbank, Ca. Brother-in-law of Lillian & Walt Disney, Cottrell was the first president of what is today known as Walt Disney Imagineering.
Dec. 22, 1995 – Disney’s animated cartoon film “Disney’s Timon and Pumbaa in Stand by Me” was released.
Dec. 22, 1995 – The “Chef Mickey’s” Restaurant opened in the Contemporary Resort at WDW.
Dec. 22, 1996 – The Disney 2-hour TV movie “The Christmas Tree” aired on ABC.
Dec. 22, 2000 – Nick Stewart, the voice of Brer Bear in Disney’s 1946 “Song of the South” and the “Splash Mountain” attractions died at the age of 90.
Dec. 22, 2000 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures film “Unbreakable” was released.
Dec. 22, 2002 – The “Enchanted Christmas Ball” was held on this night at Disneyland Paris on Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, and Discoveryland. (Ran from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
