Hello all,

Well, it’s that time again. The 2007 Top-7 Favorite Table Service Restaurants of INTERCOT members.
So, here’s how it works. I’m going to ask everyone to post his or her favorite TS restaurants, any number of favorites. After this thread runs for three weeks, I’ll tally the results and make the top-7. We’ll break ties with a poll.

Q&A:
Can I post more than once?
Yes, but only list a particular restaurant once

How many restaurants can I list?
as many as you want as long as each is a favorite of yours

Does it matter if I only like breakfast, etc?
For the purposes of this list, all meals are the same.

Will Jym add Sci-Fi if it makes the list?
It won't, but yes.

What if I haven't tried a new restaurant but I'm sure it's going to be da bomb?
A favorite is a favorite whether you've been there or not.

Can I list Counter Service or Snack carts?
No, we'll do CS as a different Top-7

What about non-Disney owned restaurants and non-dining plan restaurants?
Anything you follow a purple road sign to get to can be on the list

Is there anything I can do to help the polling?

While helpful, the management of restaurants does change, like a new Chef is now at Ohana's, so how relevant is last years list. We often find that restaurants that we disliked several years ago, have now changed, and restaurants that we loved are now only so-so. It is what makes Disney Dining such a fun challenge.

We have only been to Brown Derby for signature dining so far. In Dec. 2008 we are going to use the Deluxe DDP and will be eating at signature restaurants each night for dinner. I'm sure my list next year will be quite different.

If you read the original post, Jym says you can list as many favorites as you want. He's bringing it down to an INTERCOT Top Seven list after he gets all the responses, but you aren't limited to seven. Also, a lot of people seem to be missing Jym's request to alphabetize and are instead listing in order of preference, which is fine too but it will make Jym's job easier if we all remember to list in alphabetical order (as you did).

Thanks for doing this, Jym! Looking forward to the results.

- Tony's Town Square: Food is still good, but change in menu - fave items were dropped - dropped this off the list.

Waiting to try: 1900 Park Fare and Boma. They could be added in 2008.

Ok, with one week to go, we’re seeing a couple of real battles at front of the pack. Currently in the lead is the Canadian number 29 Le Cellier car followed closely by Hawaiian number 15 car sponsored by ‘Ohana and Spam. Vying for 3 through 5 spots, we have the Kevin Harvick Chevrolet from California Grill, Kona Café – the other Hawaiian entry and the number 23 Dodge Charger from Boma driven by rookie Bill Lester. Rounding out the current top spots, we have the Liberty Tree crew made up only of mice, dogs, and chipmonks, and team 100 Acres from Crystal Palace.

Thanks for compiling the list, and I'm glad to see three of my favorites in the top five. I'm surprised California Grill is ranked third, but I suppose many posters with small children in their families, including myself, have never tried the restaurant.

Also, thanks for the note, Jym. I was in Israel for the last 10 days and returned yesterday. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

I was keeping track of it and my kids were making fun of me for it.

My goal is to try more of the signature dining in the future but there are definitely some big favorites on the list.

No, Jared is the oldest in his family and has a younger brother and sister and I think his sister is around 10 years old, so I am guessing the dinner choices need to appeal to the younger members of his family. But thanks for giving me a chuckle :laughing: !
