Can someone whose stayed at Pop Century tell me some of the songs used for the background music? I'm putting together a video of our trip and can't remember the songs.

Oh gosh - I remember The Hustle and the Twist (an absolute must for the CD since those are the songs), My Boyfriend's Back, Everybody (Backstreet Boys), Alanis Morrisette, Under the Seas, Surfin USA, You can Fly,....


Those were the loudest but I can't remember all of them. The track repeated like 2-3 times a day.

I've only been at Christmas so I didn't hear any of those songs :mickey:

The one I definitely remember is the 70s song "Drift Away" ("Gimme the beat boys and free my soul, I wanna get lost in your rock and roll...").

The reason it stood out was it played in the 50's loop for some reason.

I think there is only one loop that plays accross the whole resort.

It's definately just one loop. Trust me....it's roughly around 5-6 hours long so you can hear it multiple times when you are there...working a 14 hour shift.

I am a huge Rick Springfield fan, and my ears purked up every time I heard Jesse's Girl!!! :thumbsup:

It always seemed to me there were different loops in the different 'eras' and a 'mix' loop in the common areas.

as I remember that each era has their own music. I think I have heard "The Hustle" from the 70's. It is all songs we know and can sing to but I am not exactly sure what they are. I think they throw in a few Disney songs from the era's too.

I don't think "Drift Away" would have stood out at the 50s side if "The Hustle", the Beach Boys, etc were also playing.

But next time I'm definitely going to pay close attention to hear if it's the same loop throughout the resort.

I recall the Twist, some Beach boys etc. A lot of 50's stuff.....

Just back from a short stay last week. Didn't spend as much time at Pop as usual, but here's a list of songs we heard:

Only heard 70s songs in the 70s building, but didn't monitor them enough to notice if they ever mixed in other songs.
