Inspired by the Flying Dutchman's thread, and by a phone call I received this evening. The call was from my alma mater, Ithaca College (in NY), asking for donations. I actually got talking to the student volunteer and we compared dorm experiences and professors.

So.... where did you go to college? What was your major?

University of Pittsburgh - School of Nursing, main campus in Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

I went to Grace College in Winona Lake Indiana, but couldn't afford to stay there, so I ended up at Akron Bible Institute, with a degree in Theology, and a minor in Religious Education.:grad:

Well,
I went to University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!!) with a major in Meteorology, but I didn't like the people. I loved the college and still do, but it just wasn't the right place for me.

I then started at a local community college, and finally transferred to Texas Woman's University-College of Nursing in Dallas (main campus in Denton). 2 years later, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing!!

Well, I started as a Pharmacy major at Duquesne Univ. (Pittsburgh, PA) but it wasn't for me. I ended up finishing at the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Elem. Ed. I love it!

I went to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for 5 years before receiving my BA in Spanish in 2003. That wasn't enough for me, so I stayed an extra year to finish my second BA in French in 2004.

I'm currently attending Indiana University Southeast hoping to get my BA in Biology and Chemistry. It's the track you take if you want to be a doctor of medicine.

I started out at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Did a year there. Transferred to University of Toledo, Toledo Ohio for a semester. Transferred to Miami Middletown where I ran out of money and 'quit' just about 10 credits shy of a 2 year degree. I was majoring in Journalism/English. I had planned to go back 'someday' but someday has never come :(

I graduated last May (of 2007) from Brown University in Providence, RI with a B.A. in History and American Civilization. I loved every minute of it.

I'm now attending George Mason University to get my Masters in History, but I'm looking forward to the day I head back to Providence.

In 1986, I graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta with a BA in Literature and two minors; one in Anthropology and the other in Religious Studies.

In 1990, I went back to school at the University of Southern Maine to get my teaching certificate.

I finished up at Rutgers University-Camden in December of 1995, but didn't march until May of 1996, so it's technically my grad date. I majored in English, and minored in Education and Journalism.

I graduated in 2005 from Oneonta witha BA in Anthropology. In 2007 I earned my masters from the University at Buffalo in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration.

1995 Graduate with a BS in Chemical Engineering.

DH is a 1994 graduate with a BA in Journalism, minor in history. Now, he's the VP of an advertising and graphic design firm. I'm still a lowly ChemE.

Gee, should have given more info the first time around... I'll try again!

Ithaca College grad Dec. 1995 with a B. Mus. in Vocal Performance and Music Education.

University of Hartford grad 2000, with a M. Mus with a Pedagogy emphasis.

I learned so much from getting my masters but the best part was I met my hubby there. :cloud9:

I'm "The Flying Dutchman's" wife and graduated from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) in 2005. I got a BA in biology with a concentration (our school's term for a minor) in environmental studies.

I received my BA in Spanish Language and Literature from State University of New York at Albany. I had wanted to minor in Broadcasting and Telecommunications but broke my leg and had to drop several courses, so I ended up with a minor in French. Went on to University of California, San Diego (in La Jolla) where I got a PhD in Hispanic Literature, with a minor in French and a secondary "concentration" in Latin American history... graduated in 19ahem, just like Ken!

I'm another 19ahem graduate.:D I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1978 with a major in Elementary and Special Needs Education. Three years later I got my M Ed from the same institution in Special Education.

I currently am going to Montclair State in NJ. If all goes well I hopefully will be graduating next Dec. My major was recreation and tourism, but due to several issues I have switched to a General Humanities major (it doesn't matter- I won't need it for what my job is).

I went to Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Management Information Systems :geek: and a minor in Fine & Performing Arts. :sing: Graduated from SJU again in 2007 with an M.B.A., concentration in management.

I graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. My degree is in American Studies, History concentration, and Economics. I graduated in 1991. After a few years, I then went and received my teaching certification through a graduate program at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts in 1994 :sam: (Sam is the only eagle we have under smilies).

My mom worked (she was a secretary) at Manhattanville for many years. (We lived in Mamaroneck for about 6 years.) One of my favorite students went there and got her degree in Secondary Ed in English. (She wanted to be an English teacher like me! :heart: )

TWU here as well. I have one more semester for my MBA,,yes I am a man and get a weird look everytime I tell someone I am attending Texas Woman's University.

Edinboro Univ. Class '98 (December). Seondary Ed. Social Studies. Then continued on to get 21 Master's Credits from Cal U before deciding, that I am never going to get a teaching job in this state.

I hope to get attend Waynesburg College in 2009 for my nursing as a second degree BSN.

I spent a year at OU in the Meteorology program too, but then our daughter was born. Too many extracurriculars to keep up with a wife, child, and full-time job.

I graduated in 2005 from Rogers State University in Claremore, OK with a BS in Business Information Technology.

In May 2008, I'll graduate from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX with a MS in Management Information Systems.

Oh, and I've done all my classes online. Saw the RSU campus for the first time the night before graduation. Have been to TSU twice, once to pick up a check and once for orientation.

In 97 I was all set to go to Ole Miss (University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS) and 2 weeks before leaving I got cold feet and decided to stay in Texas.
Well 10 years, 2 degree changes, a husband and DD later I have almost finished my associate's at a local junior college with mostly online classes. I will graduate with an AA in Early Childhood Education Spring 2008 and then transfer to Texas Wesleyan in the fall to earn my BA.

Dh graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 1996 with a BS in chemistry. He then attended pharmacy school at the Medical College of VA and earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy.

I was a stay at home Mom until 2 years ago when I went back to school full time. I earned an Associates degree in 2007 from New River Community College in education. Decided it was not for me and am now working on my BS in nursing through Old Dominion University.

that's the University of SOUTH CAROLINA - not that west coast USC. :D

I wrapped up in 1992 with a BS in Humanities/Anthropology and now work for USC as an archaeologist/manager to an office of archaeologists.:thumbsup:

I'm Amanda and I received my B.S. in Accounting from Chestnut Hill College in 1993. Then I went on to receive my MBA from Rutgers University in 2004. My greatest wish is for world peace.

Anyway, I graduated from Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia) via stops at both Drexel University and Bucks County Community College.

I didn't go to St Olaf - but anytime I hear that name I always think of Betty White as Rose from the Golden Girls.

Haha yeah it does!

I'm currently in my first year at CW Post in New York. My major is journalism but I'm not sure if I'm going into print or broadcast yet. :mickey:

I started my schooling at Eastern New Mexico University, but I tranferred in my Junior year and graduated with a BA in English Lit from The University of Plymouth, in Exmouth, England -- I am also an alumni of Sigma Nu Fraternity!
