And I mean the "could-only-happen-at-Disney" moments, those large or small moments that you will never forget

5. Going on Soarin' for the first time. I didn't know what to expect but I was absolutely awestruck when the golden gate bridge appeared

4. When my brother had a broken leg, he was in a wheelchair and we were watching the parade. When Snow White and all the Dwarfs came by, the WHOLE parade stopped and Snow White and the Dwarfs posed for a picture with him..my mother was so moved by that! :)

3. Walking through the gates at MK on the left, and then for the first time coming face to face with the Castle..WOW (and it was especially magical because you could see around you dozens of people had the same reaction :D)

2. New Year's Eve Illuminations at Epcot, counting down and everyone singing "Auld Lange Syne"..the only time I cried at WDW

1. Being a small boy, watching the Main Street Electrical Parade. This is the most perfect moment in my life, being there with my whole family..just perfect

And now yours, I can't wait to see what you have experienced! :mickey:

Great topic!
5. Going on Expedition Everest for the first time with my parents on Nov 2 2007. This was the first time we had been to a Disney park together since 1991 and we all went on the ride for the first time together. I felt like a little girl again!:coaster:
4. Being Animal Kingdom' Guest of the Hour at Flame Tree BBQ and getting a cupcake for YOMD. It wasn't much but I got to wave at people as they announced my name.
3. Wandering through the Morocco pavillion and coming face to belly with the Genie as I rounded a corner. He grabbed me and hugged me and we danced. There was no one around and we stayed together for about 5 minutes.
2. Being chosen to "blow out the lights" on the Spectromagic parade route. Safari Joe was the CM there (in 1998) and he stood by me and told me the exact moment to do it. I blew my kisses and "poof" the lights went out. I cried!!!
1. Walking through MK alone on my last night there this past trip (nov 4 2007). I had just gone through a terrible break up and I went to WDW to console myself. "wishes" was happening around me as I walked and I began to smile. It was that moment of happiness that made me realize I was going to be OK. the man I was with hated Disney and I realized that I was better off without him. I was crying tears of happiness as I walked from Toon Town to Tomorrowland and watching the fireworks around me. So If you saw a redhead in a Patriots sweatshirt that night smiling and crying it was me. I had just had my epiphany!!!

PS...I can't forget....when I see the castle for the first time every trip....that's always a magical moment!!!

Wow..Only 5!! ;)

5. Walking onto Main Street with each of my kids the first time they saw the Castle. I got teary eyed each time. Now, all three of them are still amazed every trip.

4. Watching my DD meet Cinderella again at the age of 3 and really knowing who she was. Taylor was literally shaking with excitement. Even my DH cried at that.

3. Watching my kids get picked for a Magical Moment in September. They were chosen to be Honorary Musicians at Mickeys Philharmagic. They were so excited to get up there in front of everyone. But, as soon as the CM announced their names they got all shy..lol. My DD got into it more then her brothers but, all three had fun. It was so special to hear my kids names being announced in a attraction in MK.

2. My middle son had been on the look out for Peter Pan and Capt. Hook for two years. We could never find them. When he turned 4 we went for our annual trip in September. We walked off POTC and there was Peter and Wendy. Riley was so excited he stood there and cried. I could not believe it. We got some of our favorite pics of Riley that day. After we walked away we saw Capt Hook and Mr Smee across the way and my son literally dropped my hand he was holding and ran to get on line. It was a couple of great moments that we still talk about.

1. Our all time favorite trip was the first one we took as parents in 2007. My oldest son, Sean had just turned 1 and we took a trip with two of my sisters and their DH's. My son had been cruising the furniture and walking assisted for a few months.
We were waiting for the afternoon parade and Sean was sitting on the curb with me. I got up to get something out of the stroller and he took his first real steps to me!! :cloud9: He is so proud to tell everyone he started walking on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

That sparked many years of wonderful vacations with the kids. We can't wait for many more to come.

4 out of 5 of mine involve my autistic son. So here they are and not in any order.

1) Our trip in July 2003, we went with my whole family and the only night my wife and I had a room to ourselves, was the night she became pregnant with our son.
2) Before our trip this August, we were getting my son into Peter Pan, and he loved it. During our trip on the last day he got to see Captain Hook and Mr. Smee and then got to meet Peter Pan and Wendy when they were walking to their Meet and greet spot. Then after riding POTC we stood in line for him to get his picture with Peter Pan and Wendy.. they remembered his name from earlier and he got so excited.
3) During our August trip in Animal Kingdom we went to Camp Mickey & Minnie and saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. Our son got upset because there was no Daisy, so we promised him we would find Daisy later. That afternoon in Magic Kingdom at the Toon Town Fair, he got to meet Daisy and was so excited.
4) Toy Story has always been one of my son's favorite movies. At Disney Studios he got to meet Buzz and when he walked up to him he yelled (imitating Woody in Toy Story 1).."YOU ARE A TOYYYYYYY". It was so funny, I know that CM had to be laughing inside his outfit.
5) Carrying my worn out sleeping son out of the Magic Kingdom with the fireworks going off behind me and my wife right by my side.

What a neat thread! okay they aren't going to be a particular order..

5.) Going to the Pirate and Princess party for the 1st time and watching the AMAZING fireworks!

4.) Going under the welcome sign and knowing you are finally in Disney!

3.) Having my parents and best friends parents plan behind our backs and having my best friend and her parents meet us at disney with me or her knowing!

2.) Having characters that "play" around with you. (example: last trip Goofy acted like he was escorting me and my sister somewhere..little things liek that.)

1.) Having a CM take my family behind closed doors at EE! We got to see,i guess the control room..And all the moniters..My sister got to see the Yeti without riding it!(She's not a coaster person.)

No particular order:

Seeing DD's (4 at the time) face the first time she got to meet Cinderella. She had seen the commercial a couple of years ago where a little girl hugs Cinderella and she said that's what she was going to do. So we took her to BBB got her dressed as Cinderella, and let her met her idol dressed like her.

Seeing DS (3 at the time)raise his hands on the GMR during the western scene. One of the cowboys says "reach for the sky", we heard snickering behind us and I looked over and he was looking around and raising his hands. He thought they were talking to him.

After years of trying to convince DW to go to WDW and she said we needed kids to go there. She says after being at EPCOT, "We should have come here before kids, this would have been great to really look at.

The first time we rounded the corner and I watched DW, DD, & DS's faces when they seen the castle. It was their first times and it was great to see.

After messing up our reservations and it taking me an hour and a half to check in, the CM's really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They held our reservations at 1900 PF, and sent over a private resort driver to pick up DW and DD over at DTD so they didn't have to ride the bus. DW was 7 & 1\2 pregnant at the time.

4 of them are Disney Park related, and one is kind of Disney related.

5. DH proposed to me at DL at the Snow White Wishing Well.

4. Enjoying our first Xmas and New Years as a married couple at WDW and the Disney Cruise.

3. My DD being born on Walt's birthday after 31 hours of labor and being 8 days late. (I promise, we didn't plan that one :D)

2. Seeing my DD's eyes light up the first time she saw Mickey Mouse (she was one at the time and would go near him, but she still lit up)

1. We had already taken my DD to DL 5 times and it was the 6th time that she finally had warmed up to the Characters (she was 3 at the time). We had wandered in to the Animation building at California Adventure, and we walked in and Mickey was walking around. DD was in her stroller and she was desperate to get out. I quickly unbuckled her and just as I did, Mickey turned around and her and Mickey ran up to each other and hug and danced and twirled and dipped. I was a blubbering baby trying to take as many pictures as possible.

5. Checking into Boardwalk Inn on our honeymoon and being treated like celebs!
4. Riding the monorail to MK for the first time, sitting up front with the driver, and seeing 5 year old DD's eyes when the castle came into view!
3. Riding ToT with 5 year old, and hearing, "I wanna do it again" amidst the giggles
2. Seeing Mickey out front waving and saying goodnight after fireworks
1. Watching DD at the Cinderella show first thing in the morning, right after we entered the park, in front of the castle. I couldn't take my sunglasses off because I was crying!

EVERYTHING is real to a 5 year old, and experiencing it through her eyes was truly magical for us!

real mixed bag for me...

5) DS (9 at the time) throwing up between the beds at POP, around midnight. Staff came and cleaned up the room so well we actually didn't smell anything the rest of the trip

4) Illuminations....eveytime!

3) Lining up with DS (12), before MGM opened, to be one of the first ones to ride Rockin' RollerCoaster before we had to leave that day

2) DS (9) blushing when Minnie Mouse gave him a kiss

1) The special attention DS (12) was given at a character dinner with Goofy after he wore his Goofy shirt and proudly displayed his lanyard with over 30 Goofy pins we collected during our trip. Goofy made him feel so special!!

(5) Eatting at Cinderella's Castle for the first time & the fireworks going off around the castle.

(4) Getting to go to WDW last year with 22 of my family members.

(3) Forgetting I was a cool, teenaged kid during the afternoon parade at MK & waving at every CM in the parade. (Back in the 80's)

(2) Walking down Main Street for the first time with my wife and kids.

(1) The first time I took my kids to WDW, I was holding one of my little girls (who aren't so little anymore) and we were watching Wishes. I realized she was no longer looking up at the fireworks, but instead she was looking in my eyes, and she said, "Daddy, this is just how I dreamed it would be."

5. Taking my almost 5-year-old daughter on PotC FIRST THING and scaring her to death making her cry. She ended up with a stuffed Nala toy.

4. Watching my 12-year-old son chicken out just before getting on the rocket at Space Mountain. BTW, he's now a big tough US Marine.

3. Practically forcing my 10-year-old son on the same ride. He wanted to be a daredevil when he grew up. Yes, a daredevil. I chided him a little about that little goal of his and then said, with some degree of firmness, "GET IN THE ROCKET!"

Side note: Before I get flogged by the Intercot folks who flip out over parents forcing the kids on a ride, it should be stated that I knew for sure they would both love the ride, it was done mostly in fun (plus I didn't want to ride alone) and they both ended up riding it 3 times in a row once they rode it the first time.

2. Having a group of kids whom we nicknamed the "Brazilian Track Team" run in front of us at what seemed to be every queue line. There were about 15 of them wearing the Brazil Soccer jerseys and they seemed to be everywhere we were, just a little bit faster than us. This actually happened twice - in 1982 when I went with my folks, and in 1998 with my own family. Weird.

1. :drum: Watching afore mentioned almost 5-year-old daughter, distracted by Poccahontas, plough face first into a trash can and cry. She ended up with a little stuffed zebra which she named Daisy Rose Heart Flower.

Though technically not 'magical' moments in the purest sense, they are funny now (10+ years later) and besides, I thought this thread could use a little change of pace. I also wanted to see if people read these threads, or just posted their own stuff at the end and move right along. Please quote me if you've gotten this far.

BTW, my daughter refuses to re-enact the trash can episode (much to my chagrin). Even for the sake of 'tradition.' Oh well... :mickey:

In no particular order...

Watching my son, fresh from his first several months of drum lessons jamming on the bongos in AK.

Seeing my daughter closing her eyes, waving her wand and saying bibbiti bobbiti boo at CRT and really believing.

Her first Belle sighting.

MNSSHP, where Belle (DD) and Beast (DH) got such great reactions and DS and his friend (the Blues Brothers) met another set of grown-up Blues Brothers from the UK.

As a child, being carried around the park on the shoulders of my dad, uncle and grandfather. I had the Mickey shaped latex balloon and felt like a princess.

Wow - fantastic thread idea, Dutchman! It's great to read all of these memories... I'm literally sitting at my computer and crying! So here are mine, all from Disneyland:

1. My soon-to-be-DH staging a romantic proposal in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle at DL. His 4 y.o. niece dressed up as Belle to bring me a rose and him the ring and then he asked me to marry him with the carousel spinning in the background, the castle looming above us and a crowd clapping! Then we were escorted across the drawbridge (which had been blocked off especially for us) for pictures and congrats from all of the CMs who helped out with the plan. Probably the best day of my life! :cloud9:

2. My parents flying in for the above-mentioned proposal without me knowing. My DF followed up the magical moment by taking me over to Snow White's wishing well. He handed me a penny and said that now that he had made my first Disney wish come true, to wish for the other thing I wanted most. I threw the penny in the well, turned around, and there were my mom and dad! And yes, that is exactly what I wished for!

3. We were in line on Main Street for pictures with Winnie the Pooh. Tigger was a few feet away, also taking pictures. When our turn came, Pooh held up his hand for us to wait a minute and he went over to whisper something to his CM escort. Pooh then went over and pulled Tigger out of his line and whispered something to him too. Before I knew it, the escort was announcing that since Pooh had seen my birthday button, he and Tigger wanted everyone to sing to me. Both lines and everyone in the area sang Happy Birthday to me while Tigger jumped on a bench and conducted, and Pooh danced with me.

4. That first moment I ever walked under that bridge and stepped into the magical world that is Disneyland. I was 18 and on a trip with my then-BF (now hubby to be!) and his family. It was just as magical as they had led me to believe. The sounds of Main Street, the view of the castle, the terrific "Disneyland" smell - I immediately burst into tears!

5. Seeing my BF's 2 y.o nephew recognize Mickey Mouse for the first time. It was the first day of our trip and Mickey was the first character he saw. His eyes got wide, he let out this big gasp and tried so hard to get out of his stroller! When we took him out, he stood there clutching his dad's hand and pointing in awe, saying "Ski, ski!" (Which was his name for Mickey). There's nothing like seeing the magic of Disney through the eyes of a child.

I hope this thread is still around next August because I'll come back and add my magical memories from our first trip to WDW - our honeymoon!

Thanks!

Well, I was posting some stuff about Disney Electrical Parade over at the DLR part of Intercot and I realised..that was my most happiest moment in my life, seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade when I was a kid, so I was wondering what the rest of you have experienced :D

Keep 'em coming people!

Great Topic :mickey:

5. Seeing my dad be part of the pre-show for hunchback at mgm (he succeeded on the third try with a juggler).

4. e-ticket nights with my little brother. riding splash mountain over and over and over, running back to the front of the line each time.

3. watching illumitions with my family aboard the Breathless.

2. riding the golf cart back to our cabin at ft. wilderness after a long day in the park as a family when we were young.

1. getting on the hot seat and seeing both of my brothers get on the hot seat for who wants to be a millionaire. Seeing my brothers up there was honestly probably more special.

1. Seeing my 2 DD's faces when they first visited the MK. They were in awe the entire day. They were 2 & 3 and never whined, cried, or complained the whole day. I think they were just amazed.
2. Being with my dad, a few months before he passed away from cancer, on our first trip to Epcot, right after it opened. My dad LOVED everything about Epcot because he loved technology and education.
3. Taking my DH for his first trip in over 20 years to WDW. I've been tons of times, but he had only been once when he was a kid. He didn't get what the "big deal" was. He LOVED it. He was such a "big kid" interacting with the characters at our Liberty Tree dinner. NOW he "gets it".:mickey:
4. Going on a week-long trip with my best friend and our kids (with NO DH's). We had a blast! We've gone together a few more times and our most memorable experience together is probably getting to ride EE before it "officially" opened. VERY COOL!
5. E-ticket night - me and one of my DD's rode 13 Space Mountain 13 times in a row.

*First Disney experience - Disneyland 1972 as an 18 year-old. I was so overwhelmed with wonder! 36 years later, and I am still overwhelmed with wonder, although WDW is my usual vacation destination now - next trip 12/27/07!
*Encountering Electrical Water Pageant unexpectantly on a boat ride back to Ft. Wildnerness!
*my first citrus swirl...yum...
*DS's first trip to WDW in '92 - the memory that stands out in my mind the most is when he put on a pirate hat and started "swashbuckling" in the gift shop after riding POC for first time. He was so excited about that ride. We are going back together in Dec (my little pirate is now 20), and I am going to see if I can talk him into recreating the scene for a pic! Probably won't happen!
*DS's 2nd trip when he was 7 - Dreamfinder and Figment were signing autographs and asked DS where he was from. My son answered "America." Everyone around him laughed. I guess even at that young age, he understood that Epcot was more than just our little part of the world!
*The night I discovered that if you stand on the Tomorrowland Bridge, Tinker Bell will fly over your head as she descends from the castle!
*My 7 year-old DS exiting the "Dinosaur" ride and saying" Mom, that is the best ride in the entire world!"
I could go on...
WDW is special to me and full of memories. My DS was 4 when his dad and I divorced. WDW has become a family tradition for my son and me since that time. I was looking for a place where a single mom and her child could go and have a safe and happy time. Boy, did I ever make the right choice! We are still holding on to our tradition. With each passing year, I wonder (and sometimes even worry) if my son will still want to go with his "old" mom. He always answers "yes", and I look forward to celebrating my DS's 21st birthday at Ohana's on Jan, 2, 2008!

1. On our first trip together, DH (then boyfriend) and I had late reservations at Rose and Crown for his birthday. Afterwards we walked the long way around Epcot - we had the whole place to ourselves on a perfect late summer night. Magic!

2. On that same first trip - the look on DH's face when he realised I was more fun at WDW. We were in MGM walking towards the Backlot tour, when some man asked if we wanted "to be in a movie?!" I threw my arms up and said YES! haha! DH was shocked! (I'm a tax accountant.) ;)

3. On our first day of our honeymoon trip last year, we went over to explore the WL villas after checking into WL and came across the (board) game room. DH said he had never played Chinese Checkers before, so I taught him and we played a game. We made sure it was the last thing we did on our trip as well, and then went home and bought a set to remind us. :mickey:

4. On our honeymoon, we went to The Magic of Disney Animation while everyone else in MGM was at Illuminations. Since we were the only ones there, the animator let us draw our favorite character - Stitch - and then she gave us her (signed) drawing! We framed it. :D

5. We were sitting in Casey's Corner on the 'bleachers' having lunch when a duck strolled in and started eating all of the food on the floor. He ran out the door and I said to DH "just wait - he's going to get all his little ducky friends! haha!" But sure enough...he was back in a few minutes with several more ducks! They ran around the room eating what they could find...and even getting a bit bold as one hopped on the bleachers to try to score food from plates. SO cute!!

P.S. Of course I read all the posts before writing mine! A few even made me tear up a bit.... awww

1. Watching Illuminations with my grown DD and both of us blubbering like fools because my Mom who has always gone with us was not well enough to travel!
2. Same trip, having our picture taken with Mulan while I was talking to my Mom on the phone and saying that she was there in the picture as well.
3. First trip to Disney, having dinner at the Howard Johnson's restaurant and my then 6 year old daughter wondering whether the flower arrangements were going to be singing(like the ones in the Tiki Room).
4. First trip again...and why I am a Disney nut. Leaving MK one night with full Christmas decorations up and coming back the next day and not a Christmas decoration to be found but Springtime in full bloom! Disney Magic of course!
5. First trip on Splash Mountain! LOVE this ride!!:cloud9:

Three of my 5 are from our trip last week. :D

5. My DW holding my hand for my first ride on Haunted Mansion ( I don't like being scared ) Then her laughing me as I pulled her back on for a second ride. 10/1998

4. Going to Walt Disney World for the first time that I remember for my honeymoon. 10/1998

3. Watching my 23 month old son collect 7 kisses from seven princesses during our day at Magic Kingdom. 11/2007

2. Watching Mickey Mouse himself give Hayden his very own Mickey after getting our own private meeting with him. :mickey2: 11/2007

1. Actuall being able to take Hayden to Disney World this past week when the doctors had told us that he may be gone by then. :cloud9: He proved them wrong, and hopefully we will be going again in 2008. 11/2007

5. Being grateful and thankful that we are able to take a family vacation every year to WDW and bringing my Mom with us. My Dad can no longer travel which makes us sad. It makes us appreciate how precious and fragile life is.

4. When we ate at Chef Mickeys for my son's birthday and Mickey delivered a cupcake with a candle and a special placemat, the look on my son's face was priceless.

3. The trip we stayed at CBR and the hotel manager delivered personally a set of dream ears with my son's name embroidered on them. It still makes me well up.

2. My son's first trip to WDW when he was almost a year. We attended the MNSSHP and he dressed as Tigger and danced his way around pirates of the carribbean. They had a DJ set up and everyone stopped and cheered.

1. Feeling the drum beat in your chest when we watched the Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot.

Last year was our first family trip to Disney World.

After my two daughters and I went through the turnstiles we joined up again and my youngest (then 10) said, "Mom, he called me princess!"

I'm sure the Disney CMs call every little girl princess, but it meant a lot to my little girl.

It's been too long since I've posted, but this thread and the time of year have made me nostalgic!

5. Riding Space Mountain for the first time, when the seating arrangement was different, and feeling like a million bucks for braving it and LOVING it :) (1987)

4. Same trip, watching IllumiNATIONS from a bench in front of the Mexico pavillion. My Great Uncle Wilfred was with us, and it was his last big trip to WDW.

3. In 2001, my family made our first trip back SINCE 87--My DD, DM, myself (21 at the time) and my DB (whose name, btw, really and truly is Disney--and we had an absolute BLAST rediscovering the parks, and all of the "new" things that hadn't been there in 87 (though I totally missed/still miss my Dreamfinder :( )

2. Watching Spectromagic from the balcony of the train depot, just the way we used to watch parades (MSEP especially) from that same vantage point, and recreating the picture of my parents and myself taken 18 years prior

and number one makes me tear up like the sap that I am...

1. Walking into the Disney University classroom and picking up my ID and nametag at the beginning of my College Program Traditions class!!! It was during the 100 years of magic celebration so I picked Carousel of Progress as my magical moment under my name. Working at Epcot this time 5 years ago was an experience never to be matched :)

being able to take Hayden to Disney World this past week when the doctors had told us that he may be gone by then. :cloud9: He proved them wrong, and hopefully we will be going again in 2008. 11/2007

Hayden's Dad, I'm praying for Hayden to get another trip every time I see your avatar. Thanks for sharing all the great times y'all are having.

Don't wait so long to post next time, EPCOTcoffeegirl. This is good stuff. Walt would be proud of your picking Carousel of Progress as your magical moment. Also, all of us love to hear from folks who worked at the World. (We all live vicariously through current & former Cast Members.);)

I had to reply...since these are all making me cry at work! Here are my top 5 (in no particular order):

5. Working in the college program in 2000 at Splash and leaving after the park was closed. The music in frontierland would still be on and the castle was still lit up and I'd walk by myself down the street and just be SO happy to be there everyday.

4. My sis and I in an all out run from POTC to HM in the last minute of an EMH night just to make it our last ride of the night. (We got there)

3. After days of convincing, finally getting my sis to ride ToT on the day we were leaving. As we got off the ride (with our hands shaking), she grabs my hand and says "let's go again!!!".

2. Everytime I go...the first time walking under the train onto Main St. and knowing that I can't take off my sunglasses because everyone will know I'm crying!!

1. The first time I got to stay in a monorail hotel after years of staying off property.

I actually used to post all the time under an old name--thetronchick

I sadly haven't until recently had the time to be active in posting like I used to, just "lurked" and enjoyed reading.

I want to be more active now though!

I LOVE talking about working there/being a guest there so I promise I'll do so. I ADORE Carousel of Progress and the Shermans and the old school imagineers so of course COP had to be my choice while working there in the year celebrating his birthday.

I guess I'll add my top five cast member memories so this post isn't totally ridiculous.

5. Working in front of the AmGard theatre and getting to see/hear Blast II, the Eat to the Beat concert series, AND the candlelight processional every night that I worked. I got PAID for this!!! :)

4. Hearing Jim Cumming's Illuminations narration and knowing I could close my cart and clean it, and listen to RoE in the background

3. AFTER RoE, hearing the round of applause and gasps of guests experiencing the "goodnight kiss" for the first (or NOT first) time

2. Being able to decide, on days off, to go to Disneyworld--because I had a bus that would take me there from my apt..and it was FREE! :)

1. Getting to know guests and fellow cast members from all over the WORLD, and making friends at other parks and attractions. My best friend worked at test track so I had tons of purple passes with which to barter with friends working attractions like SM, SpM, ThM, RnRC etc ;-P

hope I haven't rambled TOO much

5. Seeing my kids get it and have a good time.

4. Ilumintaions my very first time.

3. Son and daughter at AKL

2. SE, the first time EVERY trip

1. Seeing my wife enjoy the first time at WDW with our kids.

5. The feeling that comes over DW and I when we pass through the entrance arch.

4. Being "embarassed" by Bob the waiter from Bonfamille's Cafe...oh, how I miss that restaurant...it was our first ever night in WDW as husband and wife, and he proceeded to proclaim that to the entire restaurant!!

3. Listening to Christmas carols while strolling the WDW Boardwalk at night.

2. Anytime we get together with Intercot friends.

1. Being able to spend my vacation with the woman who put the magic back into my life!!

danyele128

I so know what you mean. I am crying like a lil baby yet reading this thread has so opened my sinuses lol. ok so here are my top 5

1) being able to take my kids to disney and seeing it thru their eyes.

2) Taking my DBF for the first time in May and the lookon his face when he realized it wasn;t just like another amusment park like he was thinking it would be.

3)being stopped by a dream team cm and her asking if my DDs (ages 2 and 4 at the time)had met cinderella yet( they were asllep in the stroller dressed like cinderella)and saying no not yet i have lost my mom and i am looking for her. and the cm setting up a private meet and greet for the girls and the looks on tehir faces when they rounded the partition to see Cinderella sitting there waiting for them.

4) My son being picked to dance in the character parade behind the beauty and the beast float

5) my first time at WDW and being terrified of HM and the cm telling me that if i smile the ghosts won't bother me

P.S. my mom said i looked the this the whole time:D
P.S.S. My DBF is the one who suggested the next trip in June and I honestly think he may be more excited about the trip then I am if that is at all possible
Great thread thanks dutchman:thumbsup:

I love this thread! I have tears in my eyes right now reading everyone's special moments:mickey: Here's mine:

5. Being three years old and asking my dad if the lightning on SE was real or magic and his response was "Everything is magical at Disney World."

4. Having my whole family (5 siblings!) there with me celebrating my college graduation at San Angel and them each going around the table and saying what they're most proud of me for.

3. Visiting WDW with my boyfriend at the time and watching his face during illuminations and realizing he was the man I wanted to spend my life with.

2. Seeing my 2 yo nephew watching Spectromagic and the magic in his eyes.

1. Getting engaged at Disney!:cloud9:

I am definitely enjoying this thread! :number1:

In chronological order...

1. Meeting Dreamfinder and Figment on my family's first visit to WDW, and watching as Figment grabbed DB's hat from his head, and threw it into the shrubs over, and over, and over again. 1998

2. Getting a picture in the "cage" at AK (it's first year open) with DB, and having DDad tell everyone we were his "little monkeys." 1998

3. Eating at CRT with BFF and DB for my 20th b-day, and having all the princesses call my DB "an unclaimed prince." Then not getting a pic with Prince Charming, but having him remember me later, and call out to me during the parade. 2000

4. Seeing the joy in DH's eyes as we boarded the ME bus, then again when we entered POR, then again as we entered EPCOT for our first trip as husband and wife (and his first that he remembered). 2007

5. Spending our last evening (on that same trip)at EPCOT until after it closed, promising each other that we'd be back as soon as we could afford it. 2007

5.

1. :drum: Watching afore mentioned almost 5-year-old daughter, distracted by Poccahontas, plough face first into a trash can and cry. She ended up with a little stuffed zebra which she named Daisy Rose Heart Flower.

BTW, my daughter refuses to re-enact the trash can episode (much to my chagrin). Even for the sake of 'tradition.' Oh well... :mickey:

Maybe she'll re-enact it for another Daisy Rose Heart Flower. :D

Maybe she'll re-enact it for another Daisy Rose Heart Flower. :D

Yeah, except she's 14 now. It'd probably take no less than an iPod to get her to even consider it.

BTW, Daisy Rose Heart Flower gets to go with us whenever we go to Animal Kingdom. She still has chocolate on her from the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich DD was eating at the moment of impact. :secret:

(1) The first time I took my kids to WDW, I was holding one of my little girls (who aren't so little anymore) and we were watching Wishes. I realized she was no longer looking up at the fireworks, but instead she was looking in my eyes, and she said, "Daddy, this is just how I dreamed it would be."

These and a few others made me tear up for sure!!

Now for mine...

5. On a trip back when I was 16 being at Epcot during opening and watching the character bus go by just waiting to get tons of autographs. I was asked by a CM while the bus was parking if I wanted to be the first one of the day to meet Mickey. I said "oh my gosh, yes!" Heck, 16 or not the picture is worth a million words! My face is just glowing because I was so happy.

4. My mom (a coaster fraidy cat) LOVES Splash Mountain. It's so exciting everytime to go on that with her and just sitting next to her singing along and then putting our hands up for the big drop and making some funny face for the camera.

3. My DH's first trip to WDW. We were engaged at the time and I was terrified that he would think that WDW was just "okay." The first attraction we take him on was Spaceship Earth. We get not more than 5 minutes into the ride and he looks at me and says "This is the coolest thing i've ever seen." I started crying right there on the ride. Note: He's now a huge fan of WDW and says to me everytime we see something Disney "I miss it."

2. Being on my honeymoon with DH this past year and getting chosen as Family of the Day at MGM. I'd only heard about people here on INTERCOT getting chosen. I never thought i'd be one to open the park. We also won Dream Fastpasses as we waited to board ToT (which we got to ride alone). Just magical all around.

1. Everytime I walk down Main Street for the first time and feeling my dad's presence there with me. Before he passed away when I was 6 he always said that he wanted two things for me, 1- to get me a horse, and 2- to take me to WDW. It's like he's right there with me.

1. Going to WDW for the first time.
2. Epcot w/Horizons
3. Being forced to Polka in the Oktoberfest restaurant.
4. Walking into Epcot and hearing the theme music.
5. Philharmagic

5. Our second son getting a disney pin from a cast member and then talking us into getting him a lanyard and more pins. Once he learned that he could ask any cast member wearing pins to trade with him, he was watching everywhere for cast members to trade with and even yelling across the roads "hey I wanna see your pins" He was 6 then and still collects disney pins.

4. Just got back from our most recent trip Dec. 10th. We now have 4 children 13,10 and 3 year old boy/girl twins. I cried when both of my twins yelled "castle" when it came into their view. The way both twins embraced the characters with hugs and kisses.

3. Spectro magic parade and watching the fireworks from the poly beach with my family sitting on beach chairs.

2. Riding the monorail from the TTC to Epcot and when spaceship earth came into view both twins yelled "moon". We still can't convince them otherwise when they look at pictures--it is the moon.

1. Our oldest son has cerebral palsy and every year it is getting more difficult to transfer him on and off rides. We practically had to force him to ride Splash mountain and thunder mountain but when he shrieked and laughed in delight and said they were his favorite rides it made our trip.

5) Every time I walk into the MK I experience this one. The amazing sense and wonder you feel when I stand looking down Main Street.

4) My birthday dinner at Royal Crown with the best dessert set up by my wife and some amazing CMs.

3) Watching CMs trying to catch a small Crocodile at Coronado Springs.

2) Waking up to a fully decorated Hotel after Thanksgiving.

1) Walking hand in hand around the World Showcase Lagoon after the fireworks in a completely empty World Showcase. Very romantic!
