^The grand opening of the Magic Kingdom in 1971. A 1,076 piece marching band starts at the train station and goes all the way down to the castle. Followed by an acapella "When You Wish Upon A Star" with a balloon release at the end.

I've been enjoying these too. I also have so many old videos of things, both Disney and non-Disney related that I've recorded over the years. At some point I may put some of them on YouTube as well.

What gets me is seeing the kids in the video and knowing they are adults now who probably bring their own kids to Disney World:mickey:

Combining 76 Trombones and Disney is ingenious. Music Man was a big musical when I was young. And very cool having Meridith Wilson there. I also loved the aerial view of the balloons at the end. Thanks for the post! :mickey:

The singing of "When You Wish Upon A Star" at the end is perfect.

Thanks.

I loved it!!
I miss seeing the 'Wonderful World of Disney' shows on TV. It would be nice if they brought some of those shows back for our kids to enjoy! Good ol' fashioned quality TV.:mickey:

I thought this site has a policy of not posting links (even if it's from YouTube). That's what I've been told by other monitors on this site when I've posted YouTube links of WDW.

Obviously no Moderators have caught it yet...
