I am staying at Old Key West and this is the first time I have ever been down on December. I am excited but how is the weather usually in December? I think the crowds shouldn't be too bad. That is why I picked going in early December rather than late.

Weather can be rather tricky in December. The last few days the highs have been in the 80's with lows around 65 to 70. One day can be shorts and swimming weather, while the next can be down right frigid. I would bring a few shorts and t-shirts as well as a few pairs of long pants. Make sure to bring a wind breaker as usually the wind is what makes it feel so cold. We will be there on the 8th for Osborne Dancing Lights!!!! I can wait!!!!

I've been twice before in December. The days were warm but the evenings tended to turn cool. But, as said before some evenings were warm. I agree with taking both warm weather and cool weather clothing.:mickey:

Yeah, we've been 3 or 4 times in December and have gotten a mixed bag weather-wise.

A few times it was hot, sunny, and gorgeous. Last year, though, it was very chilly. We were in jackets and jeans the entire week.

We'll be down the 8th to the 15th and we're hoping for more hot sun and less jeans. ;)

We also pack a wide variety of clothing. We'll be there Dec 11-15. Have to see the castle (to pretty to pass up).

We were there last year in December and the girls had on capri pants and the guys had on their jeans. We did get to swim a couple times. But yes later in the day it got a little cooler. Kind of a little of warm and cool. Have a great trip. We will be there, too, in December again. :mickey:

The weather is unpredictable. It can be raining on and off throughout the day. It can be in the 70's during the day, and in the evening you're buying scarves and gloves in MS because you're freezing.

:mickey:We'll be there the 9th thru 13th. When we we're there in Dec. last year 1 or 2 days and the others we we're in pants. Definately bring a mixture of warm and cool weather clothes. That is what we usually do.:)

Is Dec. 8 the first day for Osbourne lights?
