Best way to enjoy MK on parade day

I think they are taping the Christmas parade at MK on Saturday, Dec. 1. This is our last day of a very short trip to WDW and we ALWAYS end our trip at MK. We are determined not to change our tradition but want to know....

...can we still enjoy our visit there with all the chaos?

Please! If you have any advice as to how to best enjoy MK on parade day we would really appreciate it!

P.S. The group we'll be with isn't interested in the taping of the parade. We just want to enjoy the park and still stay clear of the taping/crowds.

I have been during this time since 2003, but i think you can probably enjoy it more...

Main Street will be PACKED think sardines..really PACKED...but the rest of the park was not that bad....

Like MainStreetJim said, take the railroad to avoid Main Street!
