NYC Macy's Parade Question

Is the Macy's part of the parade the end of the parade? What happens at the end of the parade? How do the floats, balloons, etc. get back to where they belong? Do people follow them to watch? Thanks.

There was a whole history channel special that we watched on Thanksgiving about the parade. Nowadays I think they just deflate all the balloons, the floats kind of fold into compact trailers and they take everything back to a storehouse in NJ via the Lincoln Tunnel. The special is very interesting. Back in the day (like mid 1920s) they would just let the balloons loose and pay $100 to anyone who returned the balloon to them.
