View Full Version : Quick Question about DDP

We are all set to go on our trip (Nov 30 - Dec 8). This will be our first time using the DDP. Since appitizers are included in DDP does that mean that we will get to order 8 apps with each meal (group of 8 going)? That seems like a lot of food, but if we paid for it, we plan on taking advantage of it.

Yes each person on the plan gets an appetizer right now.

Has that changed for 2008? In looking at the DDP brochure, it shows:

1) Entree
2) One dessert
3) One non-alcoholic drink

Doesn't say appetizer is included.

Correct, the appetizer is being eliminated from the plan starting in 2008.

I'm always a year too late :(

No doubt we'll still have a great time!! Just will put on less weight than I planned

Not sure eliminating the appetizers was such a bad thing. It was too much food to eat.

In a way that is true, but, no reason you couldn't pack an appetizer away to eat at another time.

Anytime you get less for the same money, it's a bad thing for the consumer.

Oh well, gotta live with it I suppose.

We're going next week so the lack of appetizer is not an issue for us, but I do have an issue with charging the same price for less, which is mentioned above.

we totally agree, if they're going to take away the apetizer portion, then they should think about charging a little less for the plan.

I just wish it was an either/or -- why can't i have an appetizer salad instead of chocolate lava cake???

I keep wondering if they will allow substitutions, especially for diabetics.

They are offering the new plan for less-a whopping $1.00 less.
But in answer to the question, yes you each get 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert per meal. There were 8-10 of us so we'd get different appetizers/desserts and taste each others.
And keep in mind that in 2008, the gratuity is no longer included.
