Nov. 10, 1993 – The “Green Thumb Emporium” Shop opened at The Land Pavilion replacing Broccoli & Co in Epcot at WDW. (Closed Apr. 25, 2004)
Nov. 10, 1996 – The Annie Awards ceremony hosted by Leonard Maltin, was held at the Pasadena Center in Pasadena, Ca. “Toy Story” took home 8 awards including one for director John Lasseter and one for songwriter Randy Newman. Among the 3 winners of the Windsor McCay Award was the late Mary Blair (whose color stylings graced such Disney classics as Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Song of the South.)

Nov. 10, 2000 – The 3-day event “Festival of the Masters” began in Downtown Disney at WDW.
Nov. 10, 2000 – The 3-day event “Pleasure Island Jazz Fest” began at WDW.
Nov. 10, 2001- The winners of the 29th Annual Annie Awards were announced. Dale Baer won Outstanding Individual Achievement For Character Animation on Disney’s “The Emperor’s New Groove.” David Hartley and Sting won Outstanding Individual Achievement For A Song In An Animation Production for “Perfect World” from “The Emperor’s New Groove.” Eartha Kitt won Outstanding Individual Achievement For Voice Acting By A Female Performer In An Animated Feature Production for her role as Yzma in “The Emperor’s New Groove.”
Nov. 10, 2003 – The Travel Channel aired “Great Hotels – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, Disneyland Resort” for the 1st time.
Nov. 10, 2004 – The 1st issue of “The Incredibles” comic book was published by Dark Horse Comics. The full color 32 page comic was adapted from the Disney/Pixar animated feature. (There would be 4 issues in all)
Nov. 10, 2005 – The 2005 National Medal of Arts were presented by President and Mrs. Laura Bush in an Oval Office ceremony at the White House. Among the ten recipients was Disney animator Ollie Johnston.
